Helens Beauty World: New Essence nailpolishes/ Also in English

Gisteren heb ik 8 nieuwe nagellakjes en een nail Art Topper, van Essence gekocht. Ik was echt verrast dat de nieuwe lijn van Essence nu al te koop was. Ik vind de nieuwe vorm van de flesjes superleuk. Ze zijn nu ronder van vorm en lijken wat op de flesjes van Bourjois, met een E in reliëf op de dop. Heel leuk gedaan van Essence. De lakjes kosten € 1,69 per stuk, ik heb ze bij het Kruidvat gekocht.

Natuurlijk heb ik de lakjes meteen uitgeprobeerd en ik moet zeggen dat ze erg snel droog zijn. Dat is een groot pluspunt. Ze drogen zelfs nog sneller dan de nagellakjes uit de vorige lijn. Naar mijn idee is de kwaliteit van de lak zelf wel wat achteruit gegaan. Ik moest bij sommige kleuren 3 laagjes gebruiken. Dit geldt vooral voor de pasteltinten. Ook het kwastje is vernieuwd, het is breder dan het oude kwastje waardoor het opbrengen, makkelijker gaat.

De lakjes die het meest dekkend zijn: Boho Chic een perzik/oranje kleur met zilveren mini glitters, Date in the Moonlight een diep donkerblauw met mooie lichtblauwe glitters en I'm Bluetiful een petroleum kleur. Voor de kleuren Free Hugs, Modern Romance en Iced Latte had ik 3 lagen nodig.

Er zitten 3 opvallende kleuren tussen de lakjes Absolutely Blue een violet blauwe kleur (deze kleur heeft iets weg van Bikini so Teeny van Essie), I'm bleutiful een petroleum kleur met mini zilverkleurige glitters en Date in the Moonlight . Ook zag ik een aparte okergele kleur Little miss sunrise in de schappen staan (deze kleur heb ik niet aangeschaft).

De nail art topper Night in Vegas is ook heel mooi. Het geeft je nagels een parelmoerachtige gloed. Op een lichte onderkleur ziet het er inderdaad parelmoerachtig met roségouden ondertoon, op een donkere onderkleur is het ook parelmoer maar dan met voornamelijk een rood koperen ondertoon. Van de Nail Art Toppers vond ik dit de meest opvallende.

Mijn favoriete kleuren zijn: Date in the Moonlight bij deze gebombardeerd tot mijn favoriete winterkleur en I'm Bluetiful. Voor mij zijn dit nieuwe Essence kleuren, er zitten geen kleuren bij die ik al heb. Ik heb ook al horen zeggen dat sommige kleuren er in de vorige lijn ook al bij zaten. Ik denk dat dit met Iced Latte het geval is.

Al met al leuke kleuren en een mooi flesje van Essence.

Last thursday i bought eight polishes from the new Essence nailpolish line and one Nail Art Topper topcoat. Luckily i could get my hands on the new line this soon. I thought they were going on sale at the end of August. What striked me at once is the form of the bottle, its a bit rounder now. The bottle looks a bit like the one from the Bourjois nailpolishes. I also like the letter E on top of the bottle. The nailpolishes costs € 1,69 each.

When i came home i swatched the colours immediately, i just couldnt wait. The nailpolishes are very quick drying. I think they dry even faster than the ones from the previous line. As for coverage, for the pastel colours i needed three coats of polish, the non pastel colours had a good coverage. Essence did improve the brush, its a bit wider now, which makes it easier to apply the polish.

The polishes with the best coverage are: Boho Chic a peach/orange with silver mini glitters in it, Date in the Moonlight a deep dark blue with light blue glitters and I'm Bluetiful a beautiful petrol. I needed three coats for Free Hugs, Modern Romance and Iced Latte.

There are three striking colours among the polishes i bought: Absolutely Blue a violet blue (looks a bit like Bikini so Teeny van Essie), I'm bleutiful a petrol with mini glitters in silver and Date in the Moonlight. In the store i also saw a deep yellow colour named Little miss sunrise but i decided not to buy that one.

The Nail Art Topper Night in Vegas is very beautiful too. Its a bit like a pearl and it could be a bit iridescent. On top of a light colour it looks a bit pearly with a rose gold undertone, on top of a dark colour it still is pearly, but then it has a red copper undertone. This is my favourite of the Nail Art Toppers.
My favourite colours are : Date in the Moonlight (this is going to be my favourite fall- and wintercolour) and I'm Bluetiful. To me these are all new colours, none of these colours i already own. Some people say that this line contains some "old" colours too. I think Iced Latte was also available in the previous range. Overall i like the new design of the bottles and the beautiful colours in it.
