Mac and Estee Lauder lippencils
Vandaag gaat mijn blogpost over twee lippencils. Één van Mac What a blast! een Pro Longwear lippencil en één van Estee Lauder de Stay in place lippencil in de kleur 05 Coral. Ik heb de laatste tijd wat met de kleur oranje en rood, ik heb een paar oranje lipsticks en een paar rode lipsticks gekocht. En bij zo'n lipstick hoort een bijpassend lippotlood. Van Mac heb ik Tarte and Trendy uit de All about orange LE gekocht. Toen ik op zoek ging naar een bijpassend lippotlood kwam ik er al snel achter dat oranje lipliners niet zo makkelijk te krijgen zijn.
Gelukkig vond ik er een bij de Maccounter. What a Blast! Dit is een echt oranje kleur die precies bij mijn lipstick past. Het is uit de Pro Longwear lijn van Mac, dit is een lippenpotlood dus ik verwachtte echt niet dat dit de hele dag bleef zitten. Uit ervaring weet ik inmiddels dat het niet zo is maar ik ben iemand die de hele dag door een lippenbalsem op doet. Lippenbalsem is niet echt goed voor het behoud van je lipstick en lipliner.
Het andere lippenpotlood is van Estee Lauder in de kleur 05 Coral. Deze heb ik al een maandje, het is een mooie oranje rode kleur. Ik gebruik hem met mijn Lancome Corail in love lippenstift. Deze lipliner maakt de kleur wel iets roder i.p.v. koraalkleurig. Ik vind het leuk om het af te wisselen, nu geeft mijn lipstick twee kleuren voor de prijs van één. Een hele fijne lipliner die lekker zacht is en toch een mooi strak lijntje kan maken. Dit wilde ik jullie even mededelen voor het geval je op zoek mocht zijn naar een oranje of oranje rode lipliner.

I bought the Tarte and Trendy lipstick of the Mac All about orange LE and i discovered that it's hard to find an orange or a coral lipliner.
At last i found an orange lipliner at the Mac counter. What a blast! That's the name of the Pro longwear lippencil. It is a true orange and it matches my Tart and Trendy perfect. As for the Pro Longwear part it is a lipliner, and i eat, drink and talk so i don't expect a lipliner (or a lipstick) to stay on the whole day. Experience has learned me that this lipliner doesn't stay on the whole day, but i don't mind because i put on lipbalm almost the whole day through. If there's something thats a killer for lipstick and lipliner, it's a lipbalm.
The other lippencil i bought is by Estee Lauder and it's in the colour 05 Coral. This is more an orange red colour. I love to combine this with my Lancome Corail in love lipstick. With the lipliner the colour looks like a soft red, beautiful. This is a great lipliner, its smooth but yet hard enough to draw a straight line. So far my blogpost, i wanted to inform you in case you are looking for an orange or an orange red lippencil.

Lancome Flash Bronzer
Door de weinige zonnige dagen van de laatste tijd, denk ik er al een tijdje over om een selftanner te kopen. Ik zou natuurlijk ook naar het zonnebankcentrum kunnen gaan maar dat is voor mij geen goeie oplossing. Doordat ik op sommige plekken in mijn gezicht pigmentvlekken krijg, wil ik liever niet naar de zonnebank. Een bronzer leek mij de ideale manier om mijn teint te verlevendigen.
Gisteren ben ik naar de Douglas gegaan om me even te laten informeren over het hoe en wat van de bronzers. Mijn keus is gevallen op de Flash Bronzer van Lancome. Deze bronzer is speciaal voor het gezicht bestemd. Lancome is een gerespecteerd cosmetica merk dus hier had ik wel vertrouwen in.
Voor het aanbrengen van de selftanner heb ik eerst een exfoliant gebruikt (die van Ginvera). Dat staat ook op de beschrijving, exfoliëren voor het aanbrengen. Wat mij opviel , ik mocht wel eerst een moisturizer gebruiken. Ik heb altijd gedacht dat je een selftanner op je blote huid moest aanbrengen. Ik heb gekozen voor een serum omdat het een licht produkt is, en heb dit ongeveer 20 minuten laten inwerken.
Hierna heb ik de Flash Bronzer op mijn gezicht, hals en oren aangebracht. Voor het aanbrengen heb ik wel een rubberen handschoen gebruikt, zo'n kappers handschoentje. Het aanbrengen ging best goed. Ik ben licht begonnen en heb vooral de plekken die extra kleur nodig hadden, extra aangezet.
Het fijne van deze bronzer is dat je zelf kunt bepalen hoe intens het wordt. Over het resultaat ben ik heel tevreden. Ik vind zelf dat ik ongeveer 2 tinten bruiner ben dan voorheen, nu was ik van nature al bruin, maar nu is de kleur egaler en dieper. .
Dit is een prima produkt, het verdeelt makkelijk en ook zonder handschoen had ik niet van die overdreven gekleurde vingers. Een ander voordeel is dat het niet vlekkerig wordt. Ik heb geen idee hoelang dit blijft zitten is het weg na 1 wasbeurt? Dát ben ik vergeten te vragen . Het produkt is zo zuinig in gebruik dat ik het zeker 6 maanden lang 2 x per week kan gebruiken. For a while i've been thinking of using a selftanner. My skin gets dark patches from sitting in the sun and lying under the solarium. A selftanner seemed like a good way to deepen my skintone.
Yesterday i went to my favourite cosmetic store and asked about the "how to" on bronzers. After the lady presented a couple of brands to me, i decided to go for the Lancome Flash Bronzer. After all Lancome is a respected brand on the cosmetics and skincare department.
Before using the product i exfoliated, exfoliating is essential before using a bronzer to remove the dead skincells. After that i aplied a serum, the description advises to use a moisturizer. After 20 minutes i started my bronzing adventure.
I used a rubber glove to protect my fingers from staining. The product is easy to apply and it's buildable. On the places where i needed more colour i applied two or three layers. I started with my forehead, temples, cheeks and ears. The colouring is visible as soon as you put the product on. Wich makes it easy to see on wich part you want to add some more bronzer.
In the end i'm totally satisfied with the result. My skintone has gotten visible deeper (about 2 tones deeper), that was the result i was looking for. The product itself is easy to use and very economical. I have enough product left to repeat this once a week, for the coming six months.

Real Techniques Duo Fiber Collection Limited Edition
Mijn eerste makeup kwastenset van Real Techniques. Ik heb al verschillende makeup kwasten van merken zoals: Sigma, Bdellium Tools en Mac. Toch was ik erg geïnteresseerd in de kwasten van Real Techniques. Dit merk is van Samantha Chapman (één van de Pixiwoo zusters) een bekende MUA op o.a. Youtube. Via Youtube had ik veel positiefs gehoord over de makeup kwasten van Real Techniques. Dus toen ik laatst Wayne Goss deze limited edition kwasten zag aanprijzen, was ik meteen om. Ik heb ze besteld bij www.enchantra.com en sinds een week ben ik de eigenaar van de Duo Fiber Collection.
Er zitten drie kwasten in deze set: 1 face brush, 1 contour brush en 1 blending brush. Wat opvalt is de kleur,de hendels van de kwasten zijn wit. Opvallend, want dit merk staat bekend om hun kleurige hendels. De hendels zijn gemaakt van lichtgewicht aluminium, hierdoor liggen ze makkelijk in de hand. Wat ook fijn is om te weten is dat dit dierproefvrije makeup kwasten zijn.
De Duo Fiber kwasten kun je behalve voor poeder, ook voor créme- of vloeibare makeup gebruiken. Ik heb de kwasten de afgelopen week meteen gebruikt en ik ben er tevreden over. In eerste instantie vond ik de haren erg "dun" ogen. Ik ben de volle kwasten van Sigma gewend en de Duo Fiber kwasten zijn een stuk minder vol. Dit is het geheime wapen want na één keer gebruik zag ik het verschil, poeder en bronzer worden beter verdeeld over mijn gezicht. Je krijgt geen poedergezicht met deze kwasten.
Om te poederen gebruik ik de facebrush, de fijne haren van de kwast zorgen voor een lichte verdeling van de poeder. Voor het contouren/schaduwen gebruik ik (uiteraard) de contourbrush. Ik zag bij deze kwast het verschil meteen. Als ik mijn " oude" contourkwast gebruikte ging ik er naderhand even overheen met mijn poederkwast. Dat deed ik om de contouren iets af te zwakken, dat is nu niet meer nodig. De blendingkwast heb ik nog niet gebruikt maar die lijkt me ook zeer geschikt om oogschaduw mee te blenden. Ik ben tevreden met mijn aankoop. Dit zijn makeup kwasten die ik zeker voor mijn dagelijks makeup routine ga gebruiken.

Makeup brushes, like most of us, i have a lot of them, mostly from diffrent brands like Sigma, Bdellium Tools and Mac. Today i'm blogging about my first set of Real Techniques brushes. For a while i had my heart set on the Real Techniques makeup brushes. Every Youtube beauty guru is raving about them. So when i saw Wayne Goss promoting this limited edition set, i immediately decided to buy them. Real Techniques is the brand of Samantha Chapman a famous Mua on Youtube, amongst others. I ordered my set from www.enchantra.com a Dutch website, and since one week i'm the proud owner of the Duo Fiber collection.
The set contains three brushes: 1 facebrush, 1 contourbrush and 1 blending brush. The handles of the Duo Fiber brushes are in the colour white, wich is remarkable because Real Techniques is known for their colourful handles. The handles are made of aluminium, this makes the brushes light and easy to work with. It's also good to know that the brushes are not tested on animals.
The Duo Fiber Collection can be used for powder, cream and liquid make up. I've already used my brushes, i just couldn't wait. I am very content about how they work. After the first look on them i was slightly slightly because the hairs looked very thin. Compared with, for instance, the Sigma brushes this was a totally diffrent. But the thinness did the trick, the powder doesn't cake up on my face thanks to the "thin" hairs.
This was especially visable with the contourbrush. With my go to contourbrush i always go over the contoured area with a powderbrush, to make sure that the contouring is not too visable. With this contourbrush i won't need to do that anymore. The blendingbrush is the only brush i havent used yet. But i'm sure that it will do his job just as good. N.O.T.D. Precious Stones Rimmel London
Mijn n.o.t.d. van vandaag is een nagellak uit de Precious Stones serie van Rimmel London. Ik heb gekozen voor 001 Diamond Dust een mooie granietkleurige glitterlak. Ik zie een gelijkenis met de Prismatic serie van China Glaze. Een goed dekkende glitterlak, alhoewel ik wel drie laagjes heb aangebracht voor het mooiste resultaat.
Het resultaat mag er wezen, een prachtige glitter lak. In deze serie is er nog een kleur verkrijgbaar, die heet Ruby Crush. Dit is een rode glitterlak. Ik heb nog niet getest hoe lang de nagellak blijft zitten, dus dat houden jullie nog tegoed. Voor de foto heb ik geen topcoat aangebracht omdat ik de mooie natuurlijk glans goed wilde overbrengen. Helaas kon mijn fototoestel de prachtige glans niet goed weergeven.

Today's n.o.t.d. is one from the Precious Stones collection of Rimmel London. I chose 001 Diamond Dust, the darkest colour. Precious Stones are high glitter nailpolishes, with sparkles. I see the comparison with China Glaze's Prismatic series. A full coverage glitter polish, i did need three coats to create the best effect.
But i do like the result, a very glittery polish that looks a bit like granite. There's also another colour available, it's called Ruby Crush, wich is a red glitter. I haven't tested out how long it stays on, but i will let you know. I didn't ad a topcoat, i was affraid that would take away the natural glow. Take a look at the pics, i must add that my camera doesn't transfer the natural shine.
