Catrice lipsticks

Het was een goeie week voor lipsticks. Afgelopen weekend heb ik twee lipsticks van Catrice gekocht. Een nude en een fel oranje. Over contrasten gesproken.
De nude heet "The Nuder the better" de oranje kleur heet " Oh juicy!". Beide zijn uit de Ultimate colour lijn van Catrice. Ook de verpakking ben ik helemaal weg van, het ziet er erg stijlvol uit. Deze lipsticks kosten tussen de € 2,- en €3,-.

I was inspired by Jessica Alba's look at the Golden Globes. I'm not saying that this orange is the exact same colour that she wore. Its just my interpretation of that colour.
The name of the orange one is "Oh juicy!" and the nude is called "The nuder the better". The price fof each lipstick is between € 2,- and €3,-.
By the way,  i love the packaging, i think it's very classy.

Mac Taupe

Ik heb gisteren een nieuwe Mac lipsick gehaald. Ik moest toch in Rotterdam zijn dus een kleine moeite om even langs de bijenkorf te gaan.

Candy yum yum was uitverkocht en natuurlijk wilde ik niet met lege handen weggaan. De keuze viel op Taupe een mooie middenbruine kleur met een ietwat paarse ondertoon. Eigenlijk is dit de bruine kleur waar ik al een tijdje naar op zoek ben. Je zult deze kleur ongetwijfeld in een fotd voorbij zien komen.

I bought myself a new Mac lipstick yesterday. While i was in Rotterdam i couldn't pass the Mac counter at de bijenkorf (department store).

Actually i was going for Candy yum yum but that one was sold out. I bought Taupe instead, a beautiful medium brown with a bit of a purple undertone. Just the brown colour i've been looking for. You will see me wear it in an fotd soon.

F.O.T.D. Everyday look

Today i'm showing you one of my every day looks. This is a look i do when i go to work or just for every daytime occasion. I think it's easy and quick to do. For this look you don't need eyeliner or an eyeliner pencil.

I begin by putting the eyelid colour from my Sweet as Candy palette (Wetnwild) on my eyelid. The colour is a shimmer fresh rosy pink. In the crease and halfway the browbone i use an earth tone blush, i applied this lightly with a blending brush. The brown brings out the pink on the eyelid. In the outher corner of my eyes (V) i applied the crease colour from the Sweet as Candy palette. This is a medium dark brown. I also apply this colour from the outside to halfway under my bottom lashes.

As an eyeliner i use the crease colour from the Silent Treatment palette (Wetnwild).This is a deep dark brown. I use this only on my upper lashline. Because my eyes are small i only apply it on the outher end of my eyes, so it enlarges the shape of my eyes. If your eyes are normal sized or big, you can go all the way with this colour. In my waterline i apply a beige eyeliner from Catrice. Ofcourse i appliedmascara, on the upper and bottom lashes. (don't forget to curl your lashes). This is how it's done.

Products i used:
Foundation: Ginvera BB cream for all skin tones (it was too light for my skintone)
Bronzer: Princess Wet n Wild
Concealer: Erase paste Benefit nr 3
Eyes: Sweet as candy and Silent treatment palettes from Wet n Wild.
Eyes: Blusher nr 15 Bronze H&M
Eye liner pencil: Essence in 19 All i want (for my waterline)
Mascara: Clinique lash power mascara in Black onyx
Blush: Heather Silk Wet n Wild, this is a strongly pigmented colour. I used it lightly on my cheeks.
Highlighter: Bronzer by Fashionista in Barcelona
Eyebrows: Anastasia Brow pecil in Universal deep shade
Lips: Rimmel Matte Lipstick in 101
Lipliner: Essence in 07  Cute pink i applied this on my lips as a base, otherwise the lipstic colour would be too light for my skintone.

Down to the pore, blackhead banishing pore strips

Een kort review over de Down to the pore neusstrips. Ik heb ze een keer of drie gebruikt en ik vind dat ze heel goed werken. De poriën van mijn neus worden door deze strips goed gereinigd, dat zie je duidelijk terug als je de strip verwijderd.

Echt alles blijft erin zitten, als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel. Het nadeel vind ik wel dat de strips niet meteen hechten, bij mij tenminste, als je ze op je neus plaatst. Bij de tweede poging blijft de strip wel zitten. Ik heb deze strips bij het Kruidvat gekocht en ze kostten ongeveer € 6,50. Ik heb al strips van het huismerk van Kruidvat gebruikt en die van Action. De strips van het Kruidvat waren echt slecht, die van Action (€ 0,99) waren toch een stuk beter.

Voor een grondige reiniging, kan ik de strips van Down to the pore aanraden.
Dit staat er op de verpakking: "Get down to the pore met deze poriën reinigende super strips, die Tea tree and Kaolin bevatten. Kaolin absorbeert onzuiverheden, talg en vuil die de poriën kunnen verstoppen. Tea Tree heeft een antioxiderende werking en kalmeert en verzorgt de huid."

A review about the Down to the pore, strips. I've been using these for the third time now and i'm amazed. These are, in my opinion, the best pore strips i ever used, they clean out pores thoroughly.

After you remove the strips, you will see how good it cleans. I been using other pore strips, but these are the best so far. I have been using other home brands from 2 different drugstores, but they didn't do the job as good as these strips. I bought Down to the pore at my local drugstore Kruidvat and the price is about € 6,50.

N.O.T.D. nude neon

To add a bit of sunshine to these non sunny days, i combined nudes and neons. I love this combi the nude colour tones the neon and the neon spices up the nude. The polishes i used are: Essence colour and go in "The Nude" and Sally Girl in 812157.

N.O.T.D. Butler please (Essie)

Buttler please a cobalt blue by Essie. IIt's a beautiful blue, i never had this colour in a polish before. What can i say more, Essie has great nailpolishes. A note from me though, this polish (especially the first coat) goes on a bit streaky. Maybe it's just this bottle that has this, but overall the polish and the colour are great.

F.O.T.D. Natural colours with a bit of gold/shimmer

For todays  F.O.T.D. i chose natural colours and some gold. I started with a gold eyeshadow (Sephora warm n sand no77)  on the eyelids. Then i added Estee Lauders 35 Hot Cinnamon in the crease and up, halfway up the browbone. For the outher V i used the crease colour (medium brown colour)  of the Sweet as Candy palette from Wet n Wild.

You can  use a light brown or beige on the lids instead of the gold, if you find the gold too overwhelming.

Under the lower lashline i used a darkbrown colour (creasecolour) from the Silent Treatment palette by Wet n Wild. In the inner corners i used Barcelona (a bronzer!) by Fashionista. To lighten up the inner corner. I also used Barcelona on top of my cheekbones as a highlighter.

On the cheeks an earthy brown blush by H&M and i contoured with a bronzer, Princess by Wet n Wild. On my lips i used a mauve brown lipliner by Hema nr 9c1. I coloured the lips wit Nyx soft matte lip cream in the colour London. On top of that i patted a gloss by Professional cosmetics in a coppery shimmer colour.

The eyeliner i used is from Cresty. The mascara is Lash power mascara by Clinique. My eyebrows i filled in  with the Anastasia brow pen.

My foundation is from Cinema Secrets the colour is #512-49. Concealer is by Erase paste no 3 by Benefit. Eyeprimer is from Tarte and i used Benefit's Porefessional as a base.

Rozenwater van Erica/ Rosewater tonic

Sinds vorige maak gebruik Rozenwater van Erica als tonic voor mijn gezicht. Er zit geen alcohol in en het ruikt heerlijk. Het schijnt ook een kalmerend effect te hebben op de huid. Dit zou kunnen kloppen want ik heb geen last van puistjes gehad en daar kan ik nog wel eens last van hebben tijdens dié dagen van de maand. Ik heb mijn fles rozenwater bij Erica (reformwinkel) gekocht voor € 2,50.

Since the beguining of December i'm using Rosewater as a tonic for my face. Rosewater contains no alcohol and its soothing for the skin. The soothing part i do believe i didn't have any break outs this month. My face is very clear but that time of the month, there's always one pimple popping up. Another benefit is that it smells so good. I bought this at the health food store for € 2,50.


Wet n Wild bronzer in Princess

Ik heb deze bronzer van Wet n Wild in LA gekocht. Ik heb er denk ik $ 1,99 voor betaald, dat is bijna niets. Deze bronzer is heel goed gepimenteerd en daarom ook prima te gebruiken om te contouren. Ik gebruik het nu elke dag, het werkt beter dan mijn huidige bronzer.

This bronzer by Wet n Wild i bought in LA, it costs about $ 1,99. Wet n Wild cosmetics are so low priced but they are worth so much more. I love that it's so strongly pigmented, this makes it ideal to use for contouring. That's what i'm using it for now.

Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette in Silent Treatment and Sweet as Candy

Deze paletjes heb ik in Los Angeles gekocht maar ik ben ze pas deze maand gaan gebruiken. Wet n Wild is een heel erg betaalbaar merk dat bekend staat om zijn goed gepigmenteerde oogschaduws. Ook deze paletjes zijn erg goed gepigmenteerd en erg fijn om te gebruiken. Deze oogschaduws zijn zo goed gepigmenteerd dat je ze ook als eyeliner kan gebruiken en als je er een primer bij gebruikt, dan blijven de kleuren echt de hele dag zitten. Ik vind het fijn om een combi van beide palletjes te maken.

I love these Wet n Wild palettes. These eyeshadows are so strongly pigmented, combined with a primer, they stay on for the entire day. When i use these palettes i don't use an eyeliner, i use the dark colours for lining my eyes. That works really good. I love to combine the colours of both palettes.

Rimmel matte lipstick nr 101 (kate moss)

Deze lipstick is mijn favoriet sinds ik het gekocht heb, begin december. Een lieve zachte kleur, roze en ietwat mauve. De kleur blijft lang zitten maar deze matte lipstick geeft je lippen geen droog aanzien.

My favourite lipstick ever since i bought this, early December. I love the colour, it looks so soft and sweet. And i like that it stays on for quite some time. This matte lipstick doesn't dry out your lips.

Catrice pure chrome eyeshadow in Treasure it.

Een mooie feestkleur vind ik zelf en december is natuurlijk een feestmaand. Deze oogshaduw blijft lekker lang zitten en is heel goed gepigmenteerd. Wat ook heel fijn is dat het niet te poederig is, dus weinig uitval. Ook de kleur is perfect, vooral voor een partylook. Ook de prijs is goed het kost ongeveer 5 3,50.

This silver eyeshadow is the perfect colour for a partylook. I used it a couple of times in December. This eyeshadow lasts a long time and is very pigmented. It isn't chalky so there's no fall out. Just perfect and it cost around € 3,50.

Op deze foto's heb ik in de ooghoeken en onder de onderste wimperrand ook een zilverkleurige glitter oogschaduw van Sephora gebruikt.

In these pics i used a silver glitter eyeshadow from Sephora in the corners of my eyes and under the bottom lashes. Just to add some more party to this look.

N.O.T.D.

Todays n.o.t.d. is done with a nailpolish by Barry M. A beautiful teal metallic colour. This is my first nailpolish by Barry M and i'm content with it. I needed two coats to get a nice opaque effect. Compared to Essie or Essence polishes, i would give this a 6. This polish does needs some time to dry.
