Sleek Respect palette and eyelook (shangri-la collection)

Een paar maanden geleden zag ik in de webshop van Miss Lipgloss dit mooie paletje van Sleek. Het heet de Respect palette uit de shangri-la collection.  Ik was meteen verliefd op de mooie kleuren van dit paletje. Wat helemaal leuk is dat de namen van de kleuren zijn geïnspireerd door Motown artiesten. Goede muziek van lang geleden.
Terug naar het paletje, deze kleuren passen precies in mijn straatje. Felroze en oranje, tot de meer neutrale tinten en ook nog warmere tinten zoals een warm donkerbruin en bordeauxrood. Ik kon natuurlijk niet wachten om er mee aan de slag te gaan en heb meteen een eyelook gemaakt. Normaal kies ik voor de neutrale en soms voor de fellere tinten. Nu ging ik voor de warmere meer dramatische tinten. Dit komt door het herfstachtige weer van de afgelopen dagen.

Voor mijn look heb gebruik gemaakt van:
Shalamar: een oranjeachtige aardetint. op het binnenste gedeelte van het ooglid en tot halverwege de wenkbrauw.
Vandellas: bordeauxrood. op de buitenstehelft van het ooglid en een stukje van de crease
James Brown: warm donker bruin. in de buitenste ooghoek
Motown mink: donker beige, gebruikt om te blenden
Roberta Black: zwart. op de bovenste en onderste wimperrand

I just ordered the Sleek Respect palette (shangri-la collection). I noticed the palette a few months ago on a Dutch Webshop (Miss Lipgloss). I was totaly in love with the beautiful colours of this palette. One of the reasons has to be, that the names are inspired by Motown Artists. Anyone else knows what Motown is?

Well back to the palette, the colours are right up my alley. A bright pink and orange, some neutrals and some warmer shades too. I just couldn't wait to create a look with these colours. Normally i would go for the neutrals and some of the brighter colours. This time i chose the warmer more dramatic shades to work with. I guess this is the influence of the Fall-like weather we've been having, the past days.

For my look i used:
Shalamar: an earthtoned orange. applied on the inner part of the eyelid and halfway up the browbone
Vandellas: burgundy. appied on the outer part of the eyelid and in the crease.
James Brown: warm dark brown. applied in the outer corner of the crease and the browbone
Motown mink: dark beige, i used this colour for blending
Roberta Black: zwart. on the upper lashline and under the lower lashline
