Een tijdje geleden kwam ik erachter dat Maybelline een nieuw lipproduct op de markt heeft gebracht, de Color Drama lippencils. Ze liggen al een tijdje in de winkel maar ik had ze echt nog niet gezien. Ik ben er altijd  in om een nieuw product te gebruiken en zeker als het om nieuw lipproduct gaat. Vandaar dat ik twee besteld heb en dit zijn ze.

 

Lipstick potloden ik ken ze nog uit de jaren 80, o.a. Avon had ze toen, en ik vond het fijn om ze te gebruiken. Het voordeel van een potlood is dat je heel precies je lipstick kunt aanbrengen, vooral handig als je een opvallende kleur gebruikt. Voor dit type potlood heb je wel een speciale puntenslijper nodig maar die kun je volgens mij bij elke drogist of beautycounter halen.

 

De Color Drama potloden voelen zacht aan en ze zijn mat van kleur, zonder dat ze je lippen uitdrogen. Ik heb alleen Nude perfection gedragen en die beviel heel goed. Ook de kleur stond, heel verbazend, goed en was niet te bleek. Voor mij is dit een perfecte nude, mijn lippen maar net ietsje meer roze. De andere Berry Much ga ik nog uitproberen maar (na een swatch) ik ben ook over deze kleur, heel tevreden.

 

Dit product blijft  heel lang zitten ook na drinken, eten of praten.

Not so long ago i discovered that Maybelline had a new lipproduct out, the Color Drama lippencils. Don't know why i didn't know about them sooner, somehow they escaped from my attention. I love trying out new products, especially lipproducts. That's why i had to order two colours from the range.

Lippencils, i use to have a couple back in the '80s. Avon used to have some and i remember really enjoy using them. One of the benefits of using a lippencil instead of a lipstick, is that you can apply your lipcolour much more accurate. Wich is very handy, especially when you are applying a bold lipcolour. This type of lippencil is not retractable, you need a sharpener to keep the point sharp. You can get one at any drugstore, or beautycounter.

The product itself feels very soft and it is longwearing. I used Nude Perfection and i am totally in love with the product and the colour. The colour is a "my lips but better " kind of tone, wich i love. The Berry much i haven't used yet but after swatching, i'm also in love with this colour.

Hi guys today i'm showing you the look i've made with the Mac Objects of affection gold/beige pigments. I used every colour except the gold glitter. 

 

 

 

 

on the browbone i used Lithe
on my eyelid: English Gilt
in the inner corner and halfway the inner side of the lower lashline: Pretty it up
on the outer corner, halfway the lower lashline and halfway up the crease: Deep Brown

Dit jaar heb ik voor het eerst iets uit de feestcollectie van Mac besteld, uit de Objects of Affection lijn. Dit is een lijn met  mini lipglasses en pigments. Je kunt ze per set van 5 bestellen. De prijs valt heel erg mee vooral omdat het allemaal in een hele mooie verpakking zit.

Wat de pigments betreft kun je kiezen uit vier verschillende sets (blauw, roze, bronze, goud). De lipglasses komen in drie verschillende sets. Pigments zijn zeer zuinig in gebruik en omdat ik mijn makeup voornamelijk voor mezelf gebruik, vind ik de mini's een goede keuze. Ik ben heel blij met mijn keuze en ik weet zeker dat ik deze set vaak ga gebruiken.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel review

Vandaag een review over de Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. Een vrij nieuwe nagellaklijn van Sally Hansen. Deze nagellak zou net zo sterk zou zijn als gellak, zonder gebruik van een Uv-/Led lamp. Volgens de info zou de nagellak 14 dagen lang goed moeten blijven.

Ongeveer vier weken geleden heb ik een potje aangeschaft, ik kwam de lijn tegen bij  Ici Paris. Ik heb voor een zacht pastelroze kleur gekozen, Pinky Promise nr 160. Voor het beste resultaat moet je naast de nagellak ook de Miracle Gel topcoat aanschaffen.

De nagellak breng je aan op je "blote" nagels, dus geen basecoat gebruiken en de nagel goed vetvrij maken. Dit kan door middel van remover te gebruiken. De substantie vond ik zelf vrij dun en ik had drie lagen nodig voor een mooi dekkend resultaat.

De droogtijd is een probleem want je moet ongeveer 20 minuten droogtijd in acht houden, per laag. Het schijnt dat als je je handen in zonlicht houdt, dat dan de lak sneller droogt. Dat heb ik niet geprobeerd. De nagellak is makkelijk aan te brengen en dit geldt ook voor de topcoat. Volgens diverse blogs zou de topcoat ook heel goed werken samen met andere lakjes.

Over het resultaat was ik vrij tevreden, de volledige veertien dagen heb ik niet gehaald. Na vijf dagen waren er al lichte beschadigingen te zien. Niet heel erg maar toch. Bij een "gewone" nagellak heb ik vaak al na drie dagen beschadigingen. En soms is het zelfs zo dat er van één of meerdere nagels de lak er al bijna af is.

Vandaar dat ik heel tevreden ben met dit resultaat. Alleen een "echte" gellak ( die je met de uv-/led lamp droogt)  is bij mij langer dan veertien dagen blijven zitten.

Voordelen:
De Miracle Gel  blijft langer zitten dan de gemiddelde nagellak.
De Miracle Gel is in diverse kleuren verkrijgbaar
Je hoeft niets extra's te doen om de nagellak aan te brengen, zoals bijvoorbeeld vijlen van het nageloppervlak.
De nagellak is heel makkelijk aan te brengen.


Nadelen
De Miracle Gel is duurder dan de gemiddelde nagellak omdat je bij de eerste aankoop ook de topcoat moet aanschaffen.
De nagellak blijft geen 14 dagen zitten.

Todays blogpost is a review about Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel. A new longlasting nailpolish of Sally Hansen. The nailpolish could hold up to fourteen days according to the display. The benefit is that you don't need a Uv- or ledlamp to harden/dry the polish.

I'm all for a longlasting nailpolish and fourteen days is almost like eternity, when it conceirns nailpolish. I decided to go for a pastel pink Pinky Promise (nr 160). I also purchased the Miracle Gel topcoat for the best longlasting result.

The polish itsel was very easy to apply. You can apply it just like any other nailpolish but don't use a basecoat. For the colour of my choise i needed three coats for an opaque result.

The drying time took about 20 minutes per coat, so that is quite a long time. I have read on other blogs that it does help if you put your hands in the sunlight. This reduces the drying time, i haven't  tried that yet.

The outcome was quite good, no the polish didn't last for fourteen days. After five days i had some chipping, mostly on my right hand. But i'm content with that "normal" polishes last me three days and sometimes there is not much left of the polish. The only polish that lasted over fourteen days is a true gellac (the one you harden/ dry wit a Uv- /Ledlamp).

(90's lip) Essence Barely there (lipstick) + Catrice Al Burgundy (eyeshadow)

Gisteren heb ik het kruidvat een bezoekje gebracht. Ik was nieuwsgierig naar de velvet matt oogschaduws van Catrice. Doordat het erg druk was heb ik niet alle kleuren kunnen swatchen. Van tevoren had ik al een kijkje op de site van Catrice genomen en wist ik al voor welke kleur ik zou gaan.

Een mooie bordeauxrode (parelmoer effect) kleur "Al Burgundy". Echt een mooie kleur vooral voor de herfst en winter. Deze oogschaduw is goed gepigmenteerd en voelt ook erg cremig aan. Er zijn in totaal 6 verschillende kleuren: champagne, pastelroze, bruin/taupe, grijs, mosgroen en bordeaux. Deze oogschaduw is behalve betaalbaar ook nog van goede kwaliteit. Ik kan haast niet wachten om het te gebruiken. Hieronder zie je foto's en een swatch van deze oogschaduw.

Every now and then i visit the Catrice/Essence website to look for new products. It was on the site where i discovered the velvet matt eyeshadows by Catrice. There a 6 colours in total: champagne, pastel pink, taupe, grey, mossgreen and burgundy. Yesterday i went to the drugstore in search for Al Burgundy.

And here it is, a real beauty the colour is so suitable for fall and winter. The pigmentation is great and the shadow itself is very creamy. I just love when products have great quality and are affordable too. Look at the pictures.

 

 

 

 

Behalve deze mooie oogschaduw heb ik ook een mooie lipstick gekocht, geheel in de 90's trend. Het is Barely there van Essence. Ik ben al een tijdje op zoek naar zo'n kleur maar ik wilde niet te veel geld eraan uitgeven. Dit is, naar mijn mening, de perfecte kleur voor een 90's lip, de kleur zelf is een mix van licht bruin en mauve.

 

De lipsticks van Essence zijn niet sterk gepigmenteerd met name voor degene die net als ik, gepigmenteerde lippen hebben. Maar ik kan hier wel mee uit de voeten, in combinatie met een bijpasende kleur lippotlood moet dit wel goed komen. En ik denk dat deze lipstick heel mooi past bij de Al Burgundy oogschaduw.

I also bought a lipstick by Essence. I've been searching for a 90's look lipstick and i saw a couple of lipsticks but they weren't all that. At first i wanted it to be affordable and yesterday i succeed. The colour i have is Barely there and it's the perfect 90's colour. The colour is a mix between brown/taupe and mauve.

 

I'm very content with my new lipstick. A sidenote is, the Essence lipsticks aren't strong pigmented so i need a matching lippencil to make it work. I have a lot of lippencils so it will be easy to find a matching colour. I think this lipstick makes a great combination with the Al Burgundy eyeshadow.

Mac A novel romance (

It's time for a (small haul) last friday i went to Amsterdam for the preview of A novel romance. The latest Mac LE collection ( in the Netherlands)wich got his inspiration from the paperback romance novels.

The collection has: 3 quads, 6 lipsticks,  5 tinted lipglasses, 1 haute and naughty too black mascara,  2 blushes, 7 fluidline eyeliners, 2 makeup brushes ( 213 224) and 8 electric cool eyeshadows.

I bought 2 items out of the entire collection. These Mac collections can get so expensive, i already made a choice based on reviews from the internet.
I bought one quad An amorous adventure, this quad contains: sable, sex & the oyster. brawn and black tied. My favourite of the 3 quads because of the diversity of colours. My favourite colour of the quad is Sex & the oyster , a seafoam green (veluxe pearl). The other colours are; Sable ( a medium gold brown), brawn (a taupe brown) and black tied (a sparkly black).

I definitly will be using this quad for an f.o.t.d. soon. The other item i bought is a matte lipstick.  The name is Hearts aflame and it's a beautiful brick red. Something different compared to the other lipsticks in the collection. I love the warmth and intensity of this colour. Don' t know if i will be using it together with the palette.  I'm not shure if the colours are going to match.

Sally Hansen Nail Nutrition (Green Tea & Bamboo)

Hallo allemaal, het is alweer een tijdje geleden dat ik artikel gepost heb. Door drukte en andere omstandigheden had ik geen tijd en zin om te bloggen. Maar goed vandaag wel en ik wil jullie iets laten zien dat ik afgelopen zaterdag gekocht heb.

Ik heb al een paar maanden last van droge, schilferende en zwakke nagels. Normaal zijn mijn nagels best dik en kunnen ze best tegen een stootje. De laatste weken scheuren ze makkelijk vandaar dat ik mijn nagels nu superkort hou.

Het was tijd om naar een goede base coat op zoek te gaan. Mijn keus viel de Nail Nutrition van Sally Hansen. Er zit Groene thee en Bamboe in om de nagels sterker te maken. Groene thee staat bekend om zijn helende en herstellende kwaliteiten, waar de bamboe voor zorgt is mij niet bekend. Dit staat ook niet op het doosje vermeld.

Ik gebruik het sinds maandag dus ik kan je nog niet zeggen of het echt helpt, een review volgt zeer binnenkort. Wat ik fijn vindt aan deze strengthner, is dat je het zowel als base- en topcoat kan gebruiken. Verder heb ik goed ervaringen met de producten van Sally Hansen dus ik ben erg benieuwd.

Hi everyone, i'm back and i know it's been a while since my last blogpost. I have been buisy with very important and sometimes not so pleasant things. But anyhow i'm back and today i wanted to show you my latest purchase.

 

It's the Sally Hansen Nail Nutrition with Green Tea & Bamboo. For the past year my nails were very brittle and they did a lot of chipping. Normally i have very thick nails. So i decided to go and look for a strengthner. 

Sally Hansen's strengthner seemed like a good one for me. I have used a couple of base coats from this brand and they all seem to work very good. So i'll keep my hopes up for this one. A full review is coming soon.
