Mac A novel romance (

It's time for a (small haul) last friday i went to Amsterdam for the preview of A novel romance. The latest Mac LE collection ( in the Netherlands)wich got his inspiration from the paperback romance novels.

The collection has: 3 quads, 6 lipsticks,  5 tinted lipglasses, 1 haute and naughty too black mascara,  2 blushes, 7 fluidline eyeliners, 2 makeup brushes ( 213 224) and 8 electric cool eyeshadows.

I bought 2 items out of the entire collection. These Mac collections can get so expensive, i already made a choice based on reviews from the internet.
I bought one quad An amorous adventure, this quad contains: sable, sex & the oyster. brawn and black tied. My favourite of the 3 quads because of the diversity of colours. My favourite colour of the quad is Sex & the oyster , a seafoam green (veluxe pearl). The other colours are; Sable ( a medium gold brown), brawn (a taupe brown) and black tied (a sparkly black).

I definitly will be using this quad for an f.o.t.d. soon. The other item i bought is a matte lipstick.  The name is Hearts aflame and it's a beautiful brick red. Something different compared to the other lipsticks in the collection. I love the warmth and intensity of this colour. Don' t know if i will be using it together with the palette.  I'm not shure if the colours are going to match.

Catrice Glamazona lipcolour pencils

Ik wil jullie nog even attenderen op twee lip colour pennen uit de Glamazona  LE van Catrice.  Deze collectie ligt al even in de winkels en ik keek er min of meer overheen. Totdat ik een foto van Debbie (beautyscene) op instagram zag met mooie rode lippen. Het bleek dus dat zij één van lip colour pennen op had gedaan.

Gelukkig waren de pennen nog voorradig, overigens de meeste artikelen van deze serie zijn nog verkrijgbaar. Ik heb de rode I'm a survivor en de roze I got the flower!. Dit zijn echt pennen van goede kwaliteit dat wil zeggen de pigmentatie is heel goed. De pennen kosten € 4, 99 per stuk. Als je interesse hebt dan wil ik je aanraden snel naar de winkel te gaan.

I'm into bold lip colours lately. I used to be a nude lipstick lover but not so much lately. A couple of days ago i spotted a beautiful lipcolour on instagram. It turned to be a lip colour pencil from the Catrice LE Glamazona. This LE has been in stores for a couple of weeks. I didn't pay much attention to it and i'm glad someone pointed it out.

Needless to stay that i went shopping and i bought the two lippencils from the collection. The red one is called I'm a survivor and the pink one is I got the flower! Both pencils are very pigmented, look at the swatches.  This LE is still available in drugstores. The price is €4,99 each.

Mac Riri Woo & Riri Heaux lipstick

Hoi, hoi mijn blogpost van vandaag gaat over mijn Riri loves Mac lipsticks. Ik heb ze gisteren binnen gekregen en ik was superblij dat ik nog op tijd was met bestellen. Ik heb Riri Woo en Riri Heaux besteld. Riri Woo is een (zoals ik het graag noem) kersenrode lipstick, een rode lipstick met een blauwe ondertoon. Dit is in mijn ogen de perfecte kleur rood.

Ik heb een aantal reviews gelezen over Riri Woo en heel veel bloggers vinden dat Riri Woo en Ruby Woo niet veel verschillen. Nu bezit ik Ruby Woo niet maar ik ken de kleur wel en in mijn ogen gaat Ruby Woo toch wat meer richting oranjerood. Dat is mijn mening en zoals ik al zei, ik heb Ruby Woo niet in mijn collechtie.

Om even de kleur te peilen heb ik Riri Woo geswatched naast Kiss of life (nr 111) uit de Matte lipsticks serie van Rimmel London. Gewoon voor de lol want in mijn ogen is Kiss of life de perfecte drugstore lipstick in rood. Ik vond Kiss of life ook behoorlijk kersenrood maar Riri Woo wint het toch want die heeft écht de kersenrode kleur. Beide zijn prachtige rode lipsticks.

Mijn andere aanwinst is Riri Heaux een dieprode zeg maar wijnrode kleur. Ook deze lipstick is erg mooi het is een warme wijnrode kleur. Riri heaux is net als Riri Woo een retro matte lipstick. Dat matte maakt het heel speciaal, wijnrode lipsticks zijn er genoeg maar matte wijnrode lipsticks, dié vind je maar weinig. Heel grappig want ik ben al een tijdje op de uitkijk naar een matte Burgundy kleur. Ik heb beide kleuren nog niet op gehad maar ik weet zeker dat ik hier heel veel draagplezier mee ga beleven.

Today is Riri loves Mac time. Yesterday i received my Mac order, two lipsticks from this LE. I was so exited i was able to get my order through. I ordered Riri Woo and Riri Heaux. I'll start with Riri Woo, this is a beautiful cherry-red (as i like to call it) lipstick. This colour has a blue undertone. In my opinion this is the perfect red lipstick.

I don't share the opinion of other bloggers who say that Riri Woo is similar to Ruby Woo. I don't have Ruby Woo in my collection but i do know the colour. In my opnion Ruby Woo has a more orange undertone compared to Riri Woo.

I compared Riri Woo to Rimmel London's Kiss of life (nr 111) ,you can find the swatches below, and they are both beautiful reds but each in their own way. I wanted to compare them because i think that both are beautiful red lipsticks. Kiss of life is my favourite drugstore red.

The other lipstick is Riri Heaux a beautiful Burgundy red. I love this colour too, a matte Burgundy just the one i was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this colour. I haven't used it yet but i'm sure, this will be my favourite fall and winter lipstick.

Real Techniques Duo Fiber Collection Limited Edition

Mijn eerste makeup kwastenset van Real Techniques. Ik heb al verschillende makeup kwasten van  merken zoals: Sigma, Bdellium Tools en Mac. Toch was ik erg geïnteresseerd in de kwasten van Real Techniques. Dit merk is van Samantha Chapman (één van de Pixiwoo zusters) een bekende MUA op o.a. Youtube. Via Youtube had ik veel positiefs gehoord over de makeup kwasten van Real Techniques. Dus toen ik laatst Wayne Goss deze limited edition kwasten zag aanprijzen, was ik meteen om. Ik heb ze besteld bij www.enchantra.com en sinds een week ben ik de eigenaar van de Duo Fiber Collection.

Er zitten drie kwasten in deze set: 1 face brush, 1 contour brush en 1 blending brush. Wat opvalt is de kleur,de hendels van de kwasten zijn wit. Opvallend, want dit  merk staat bekend om hun kleurige hendels. De hendels zijn gemaakt van lichtgewicht aluminium, hierdoor liggen ze makkelijk in de hand. Wat ook fijn is om te weten is dat dit dierproefvrije makeup kwasten zijn.

De Duo Fiber kwasten kun je behalve voor poeder, ook voor créme- of vloeibare makeup gebruiken. Ik heb de kwasten de afgelopen week meteen gebruikt en ik ben er tevreden over. In eerste instantie vond ik de haren erg "dun" ogen. Ik ben de volle kwasten van Sigma gewend en de Duo Fiber kwasten zijn een stuk minder vol. Dit is het geheime wapen want na één keer gebruik zag ik het verschil, poeder en bronzer worden beter verdeeld over mijn gezicht. Je krijgt geen poedergezicht met deze kwasten.

Om te poederen gebruik ik de facebrush, de fijne haren van de  kwast zorgen voor een lichte verdeling van de poeder. Voor het  contouren/schaduwen gebruik ik (uiteraard) de contourbrush. Ik zag bij deze kwast het verschil meteen. Als ik mijn " oude" contourkwast gebruikte ging ik er naderhand even overheen met mijn poederkwast. Dat deed ik om de contouren iets af te zwakken, dat is nu niet meer nodig. De blendingkwast heb ik nog niet gebruikt maar die lijkt me ook zeer geschikt om oogschaduw mee te blenden. Ik ben tevreden met mijn aankoop. Dit zijn makeup kwasten die ik zeker voor mijn dagelijks makeup routine ga gebruiken.

Makeup brushes, like most of us, i have a lot of them, mostly from diffrent brands like Sigma, Bdellium Tools and Mac. Today i'm blogging about my first set of Real Techniques brushes. For a while i had my heart set on the Real Techniques makeup brushes. Every Youtube beauty guru is raving about them. So when i saw Wayne Goss promoting this limited edition set, i immediately decided to buy them. Real Techniques is the brand of Samantha Chapman a famous Mua on Youtube, amongst others. I ordered my set from www.enchantra.com a Dutch website, and since one week i'm the proud owner of the Duo Fiber collection.

The set contains three brushes: 1 facebrush, 1 contourbrush and 1 blending brush. The handles of the Duo Fiber brushes are in the colour white, wich is remarkable because Real Techniques is known for their colourful handles. The handles are made of aluminium, this makes the brushes  light and easy to work with. It's also good to know that the brushes are not tested on animals.

The Duo Fiber Collection can be used for powder, cream and liquid make up. I've already used my brushes, i just couldn't wait. I am very content about how they work. After the first look on them i was slightly slightly because the hairs looked very thin. Compared with, for instance, the Sigma brushes this was a totally diffrent. But the thinness did the trick, the powder doesn't cake up on my face thanks to the "thin" hairs.

This was especially visable with the contourbrush. With my go to contourbrush i always go over the contoured area with a powderbrush, to make sure that the contouring is not too visable. With this contourbrush i won't need to do that anymore. The blendingbrush is the only brush i havent used yet. But i'm sure that it will do his job just as good. So far my review about the Duo Fiber Collection. I'm already using these brushes in my daily makeup routine. If you have questions, feel free to ask or just leave me a comment. See you.
