Just discoverde Red by Opi and it already is my favourite Christmas nailpolish.
The quality is great.  It is the perfect red for the Hollidays.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel review

Vandaag een review over de Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. Een vrij nieuwe nagellaklijn van Sally Hansen. Deze nagellak zou net zo sterk zou zijn als gellak, zonder gebruik van een Uv-/Led lamp. Volgens de info zou de nagellak 14 dagen lang goed moeten blijven.

Ongeveer vier weken geleden heb ik een potje aangeschaft, ik kwam de lijn tegen bij  Ici Paris. Ik heb voor een zacht pastelroze kleur gekozen, Pinky Promise nr 160. Voor het beste resultaat moet je naast de nagellak ook de Miracle Gel topcoat aanschaffen.

De nagellak breng je aan op je "blote" nagels, dus geen basecoat gebruiken en de nagel goed vetvrij maken. Dit kan door middel van remover te gebruiken. De substantie vond ik zelf vrij dun en ik had drie lagen nodig voor een mooi dekkend resultaat.

De droogtijd is een probleem want je moet ongeveer 20 minuten droogtijd in acht houden, per laag. Het schijnt dat als je je handen in zonlicht houdt, dat dan de lak sneller droogt. Dat heb ik niet geprobeerd. De nagellak is makkelijk aan te brengen en dit geldt ook voor de topcoat. Volgens diverse blogs zou de topcoat ook heel goed werken samen met andere lakjes.

Over het resultaat was ik vrij tevreden, de volledige veertien dagen heb ik niet gehaald. Na vijf dagen waren er al lichte beschadigingen te zien. Niet heel erg maar toch. Bij een "gewone" nagellak heb ik vaak al na drie dagen beschadigingen. En soms is het zelfs zo dat er van één of meerdere nagels de lak er al bijna af is.

Vandaar dat ik heel tevreden ben met dit resultaat. Alleen een "echte" gellak ( die je met de uv-/led lamp droogt)  is bij mij langer dan veertien dagen blijven zitten.

Voordelen:
De Miracle Gel  blijft langer zitten dan de gemiddelde nagellak.
De Miracle Gel is in diverse kleuren verkrijgbaar
Je hoeft niets extra's te doen om de nagellak aan te brengen, zoals bijvoorbeeld vijlen van het nageloppervlak.
De nagellak is heel makkelijk aan te brengen.


Nadelen
De Miracle Gel is duurder dan de gemiddelde nagellak omdat je bij de eerste aankoop ook de topcoat moet aanschaffen.
De nagellak blijft geen 14 dagen zitten.

Todays blogpost is a review about Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel. A new longlasting nailpolish of Sally Hansen. The nailpolish could hold up to fourteen days according to the display. The benefit is that you don't need a Uv- or ledlamp to harden/dry the polish.

I'm all for a longlasting nailpolish and fourteen days is almost like eternity, when it conceirns nailpolish. I decided to go for a pastel pink Pinky Promise (nr 160). I also purchased the Miracle Gel topcoat for the best longlasting result.

The polish itsel was very easy to apply. You can apply it just like any other nailpolish but don't use a basecoat. For the colour of my choise i needed three coats for an opaque result.

The drying time took about 20 minutes per coat, so that is quite a long time. I have read on other blogs that it does help if you put your hands in the sunlight. This reduces the drying time, i haven't  tried that yet.

The outcome was quite good, no the polish didn't last for fourteen days. After five days i had some chipping, mostly on my right hand. But i'm content with that "normal" polishes last me three days and sometimes there is not much left of the polish. The only polish that lasted over fourteen days is a true gellac (the one you harden/ dry wit a Uv- /Ledlamp).

Afgelopen week heb ik mijn bestelling van Jesse's Girl ontvangen. De cruise collection van Julie G. Julie G. is een youtube beauty guru die al een aantal nagellakjes heeft uitgebracht in samenwerking met Jesse's girl. Voor zover ik weet is deze lijn ook niet in Nederland te koop.

Ik ben al een tijdje subscriber van Julie G en zie haar nagellakjes regelmatig voorbij komen op youtube. De kleuren van deze Cruise collection spraken me aan, lekker zomers en fris, vandaar dat ik ze besteld heb. Ik heb ze online besteld via de website van Jesse's Girl. De lakjes zijn erg goedkoop met name als je ze in de US zelf koopt. Bestel je ze online dan moet je vaak ook invoerrechten betalen maar dat had ik wel voor over.Het duurde ongeveer 20 dagen voordat ik mijn bestelling kon ontvangen.

De lakjes zelf zijn van prima kwaliteit ze zijn niet streperig en de lak heeft de juiste dikte. Wat ik wel een nadeel vind is, dat het kwastje vrij klein is. Met een groter kwastje kun je de lak beter aanbrengen. Verder zijn het prima lakjes. Mocht je naar de states gaan en interesse hebben, je kunt ze bij Rite Aid kopen.

Last week my order, the Julie G cruise collection,  from the Jesse's girl website came in. I ordered the polishes directly from the website because you can't buy them in the stores overhere. After twenty day's my order came in, wich is very fast in my opinion.

I've learned about Julie G's nailpolishes throug her youtube channel, she did some promotion on her channel. That's how i got interested,  so interested that i decided to order online. The Cruise collection is a very summery collection, that's why she named it the "Cruise Collection" i guess.

The polishes are very easy to apply, they're not streaky and the polish itself is not too thick. The only improvent tip i have is about the small brush. The small brush makes it harder to apply the polish, especially when you have big nails like me. Overall i'm positivie about this collection. You can buy Julie G's nailpolishes at Rite Aid (in the US) and online through the website of Jesse's Girl.

Today i felt inspired to do my nails and add a bit of nailart.
The polishes i used are: BarryM name unknown and Essence It's raining men.

OPI Brazil collection : Don't bossa nova me around & Toucan do it if you try

Nou hier is ie dan, don't bossa nova me around uit de Opi Brazil collection. Deze collectie van Opi bestaat uit 12 nagellakjes. De collectie bestaat uit vooral felle kleuren zoals geel, oranje maar ook een aantal naturel kleuren.Toen ik de reclames op Fb zag was dit al meteen mijn eerste keus. Een mooie nude die het best te beschrijven is als een romige taupe kleur.

Van de nudes die in deze collectie zitten is dit echt mijn favoriet en op dit moment zelfs de favoriet van alle nudes, die ik bezit. Dit is een nude die goed staat op elke huidskleur staat. Deze nagellak is goed dekkend, ik heb twee laagjes aangebracht voor de foto. Een mooie kleur die ik niet zo snel in een Brazil collectie zou verwachten, maar daarom niet minder mooi. Dit lakje gaat nog heel vaak gedragen worden.

There's nothing wrong with a beautiful nude  like Don't bossa nova me around (i love the name). This is a nude from the Opi Brazil collection. This collection has twelve nailpolishes, mostly bold colours. The collection also has three natural colours, Don't bossa nova me around is my favourite of the nudes.This my favourite of all the nudes i have in my collection. The coverage is great, for the pic i applied two coats.

Dit is het tweede kleurtje dat ik heb aangeschaft uit deze collectie. Een fris koraal oranje dat erg Braziliaans aandoet. Het doet me denken aan de kleur van een rijpe papaja.  Van de felle kleuren vond ik deze het opvallendst, ik ging in eerste instantie voor Where did suzys mango maar die kleur vond ik niet echt apart. Het was een kleur oranje die je wel vaker tegenkomt. Van alle kleuren uit deze lijn, zijn de kleuren die ik heb uitgezocht voor mij het opvallendst. De gele kleur (Just cant Cope-acabana)was ook apart maar dat is typisch een kleur die ik niet vaak ga dragen. Deze mooie oranje kleur wel, dit wordt mijn zomerlakje voor 2014.

Toucan do it if you try is a lovely and vibrant coral/orange. The colour reminds me of the inside of a ripe Papaya, it is very Brazilian. Of all the bright colours i liked this one the most. I thought i would like Where did Suzys mango the most, but in real live it was just like an everyday orange. The two colours i've bought are my favourites of the twelve. For a minute i thought of buying Just cant Cope-acabana but that's not a colour i would wear. This beautiful coral/orange is, and it's going to my favourite summerpolish.

N.O.T.D. Opi Chic from head to toe



Vandaag heb ik zin in een fris en lief roze kleurtje op mijn nagels. Ik heb gekozen voor Chic from head to toe van Opi. Het is een lekker makkelijk kleurtje dat naar mijn mening overal bij past. Ondanks dat deze kleur vrij goed dekt, had ik drie lagen nodig voor een mooi resultaat.

Today's notd is a sweet girly pink colour, it's Chic from head to toe from Opi. This colour goes with everything, in my opinion. Although this nailpolish is quite opaque,i needed three coats for the best result.  

N.O.T.D. Wetnwild Megalast I need a refresh-mint

Ik ben gek op nagels lakken, het is altijd leuk om een nieuw kleurtje uit te zoeken. Ondanks het "mooie" weer heb ik gekozen voor een lekker zomers kleurtje. Het heet I need a refresh-mint. Een mint/petrol blauwe kleur van Wetnwild. Ik ben gek op hun Megalast nagellakjes omdat ze van goede kwaliteit zijn en ze zijn heel betaalbaar.  Ik heb twee  lagen opgedaan en ik kreeg een supermooi dekkend resultaat. Niets zomerkleurtje dit is een "heelhetjaardoor" kleurtje.

I love painting my nails, i love choosing a colour for my nails or toes. Today i chose a minty/petrol blue colour bij Wetnwild. It's called I need a refresh-mint a colour most people would wear in summer. But not me the weather is so boring right now, i need something uplifting on my nails. This colour is doing it's job so perfect, i applied two coats and what a great result. I love the Megalast polishes, the quality is good and they are so affordable.

My nailart of today. As a basecolour i used Opi Lady in black. To make the flowers i used a toothpick and yellow and pink nailpolish. For the leaves i used little dots in green. On top of that i applied a topcoat with tiny glitters. I hope you like it, leave me a comment.

N.O.T.D. LOL in fresh green

Heerlijk hé dat warme weer van de afgelopen dagen. Voor de notd van vandaag heb ik een toepasselijk kleurtje gevonden, namelijk L.O.L. van Essence. Een prachtig lime-groene kleur die ik eigenlijk alleen draag op dagen zoals deze. Om een of andere reden vind ik de kleur dan pas écht tot zijn recht komen. Een mooi kleurtje speciaal voor deze zwoele zomerdagen. Voor een mooi resultaat heb ik twee lagen nagellak aangebracht.


Today i'm wearing L.O.L. by Essence. A beautiful and very summery limegreen. For some reason i find this colour only suitable for wearing, during those hot summerdays like today. Let's hope those summerdays will never end. For a beautiful result i applied two coats of nailpolish.

N.O.T.D. Essie Naughty Nautical

In de n.o.t.d. vandaag een mooie groen blauwe kleur van Essie. Het heet Naughty Nautical (uit de gelijknamige serie) en het is een echte zomerkleur. Mooi groen-blauw met een ietsje van een glittertje erin, dit is bijna niet zichtbaar. Van alle kleuren uit deze serie, die nog verkrijgbaar waren, vond ik dit de mooiste kleur. Lekker fris en zomers en toch ff iets anders dan turquise.

On my nails i'm wearing an Essie colour today, it's a beautiful Seagreen. The name of the polish is Naughty Nautical and it's a true summer colour. A beautiful sea-green with a bit of a sparkle in it, the sparkle is hardly visible. It's from the series with the same name (Naughty Nautical) and of all the colours that were available, i liked this one the most. The colour is something else, it's nota a teal and it's not a green.

N.O.T.D. Precious Stones Rimmel London

Mijn n.o.t.d. van vandaag is een nagellak uit de Precious Stones serie van Rimmel London. Ik heb gekozen voor 001 Diamond Dust een mooie granietkleurige glitterlak. Ik zie een gelijkenis met de Prismatic serie van China Glaze. Een goed dekkende glitterlak, alhoewel ik wel drie laagjes heb aangebracht voor het mooiste resultaat.

Het resultaat mag er wezen, een prachtige glitter lak. In deze serie is er nog een kleur verkrijgbaar, die heet Ruby Crush. Dit is een rode glitterlak. Ik heb nog niet getest hoe lang de nagellak blijft zitten, dus dat houden jullie nog tegoed. Voor de foto heb ik geen topcoat aangebracht omdat ik de mooie natuurlijk glans goed wilde overbrengen. Helaas kon mijn fototoestel de prachtige glans niet goed weergeven.

Today's n.o.t.d. is one from the Precious Stones collection of Rimmel London. I chose 001 Diamond Dust, the darkest colour. Precious Stones are high glitter nailpolishes, with sparkles. I see the comparison with China Glaze's  Prismatic series. A full coverage glitter polish, i did need three coats to create the best effect.

But i do like the result, a very glittery polish that looks a bit like granite. There's also another colour available, it's called Ruby Crush, wich is a red glitter. I haven't tested out how long it stays on, but i will let you know. I didn't ad a topcoat, i was affraid that would take away the natural glow. Take a look at the pics, i must add that my camera doesn't transfer the natural shine.

N.O.T.D. Essence "time for romance"

Todays n.o.t.d. is an Essence colour "Time for romance". A marroon colour with glitters.
This could be a great fall/winter nailpolish too.

I like the combination of the colour and the glitters. Mostly glitterpolishes are in silver, gold or blue. Love this one, i can add it to my favourite polishes too.

N.O.T.D. Essie Watermelon

Todays n.o.t.d. is Watermelon from Essie. A colour that best can be described as a fuchsia red. This would normally not be my choise of colour, i love nudes and pinks, but somehow i was drawn to this colour. Maybe its because these kind of colours (burgundy, plum) are thé colours for fall and winter. I paid € 9,99 for this.
