New Essence goodies!! 2in1 lipstick liner & blush ball

 

 

2in1 lipstick & liner

 

Gisteren heb ik twee nieuwe aankopen gedaan, beide van Essence.  Nieuwe make-up kopen is altijd leuk en zeker voor een beautyblogger. Vandaar dat ik mijn nieuw aankopen meteen met jullie wilde delen.

 

Ik zal van start gaan met het lipproduct, de 2in1 lipstick & liner. Met dit product sla je twee vliegen in één klap volgens Essence. Ik heb hier mijn twijfels bij, de lipstick is namelijk konisch uitgevoerd (gaat van breed naar uiterst smal). Het smalle puntige gedeelte zit aan het begin de stick. Hier zal je zeker in het begin profijt van hebben maar naarmate je richting het brede gedeelte komt kan je het alleen als lipstick gebruiken.

 

Verder is het een prima product, de substantie voelt lekker zacht aan. Ik heb voor een roze nude gekozen (02 Vintage Rose) een makkelijke kleur. De lipstick is redelijk gepigmenteerd en ook goed zichtbaar op gepigmenteerde lippen. Er zijn vijf verschillende kleuren.

 

Nog één minpuntje het lipstick gedeelte is niet draaibaar. Je kunt het niet terugdraaien zodoende denk ik dat het puntje makkelijk kan afbreken. Voorzichtig aanbrengen dus!

Yesterday i bought two new Essence make-up products. I love to buy new make-up and today i want to share my new purchases with you.

Lets start with the 2in1 lipstick & liner, a lipstick and lipliner in one. I have to say that the liner part will only work in the beginning. After you've  used the narrow/pointy part, you can only use it as a lipstick.

 

The product itself is good, it's soft and quite pigmented. I chose the nudey pink colour (02 vintage rose) because it is an easy to wear colour. The colour is very visible even on pigmented lips. The 2in1 lipstick & liner is available in five colours.

 

The lipstick hasn't got a turn up system. So be cautious when applying, especially in the beginning.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blush ball

 

Ik hou van blushes en toen ik zag dat Essence de nieuwe Blush ball had uitgebracht moest ik het natuurlijk aanschaffen.

 

De blush balls zijn baked blushes die in drie mooie kleuren verkrijgbaar zijn, 10 Peach candy, 20 Strawberry candy en 30 Cinnamon candy. Persoonlijk vind ik dit drie hele mooie kleuren.

 

Ik heb gekozen voor 20 Strawberry candy omdat ik wel van fellere blushes houd. Strawberry candy is de meest felle kleur van de drie. De kleur is helderroze met wat glans erin. Cinnamon candy kan ook als bronzer gebruikt worden.

 

Deze blush kan je eventueel ook met de vingers aanbrengen, makkelijk voor een touch up tussendoor. Ook de handige ronde verpakking vind ik een plus want het past makkelijk in je (make-up) tas.

Blushes are my favourite make-up product. When i knew that Essence had come out with the Blush ball, i had to get one.

 

The Blush balls are baked blushes in three pretty colours. 10 Peach Candy, 20 Strawberry Candy and 30 Cinnamon Candy.

 

My pick is the bright pink, Strawberry Candy. What can is say? I love bright colours. The blush is a bright pink with a little bit of shimmer. Nr 30 Cinnamon Candy can also be used as a bronzer.

 

The packaging is very handy it fits in every (make-up) bag. You can apply the blush with your fingers when needed.

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



 





sephora liquid lipstick in Marvelous Mauve

 



Matte liquid lipsticks zijn al een tijdje heel erg in. Ik zelf heb er een haat liefde verhouding mee. Dit omdat ik van nature erg droge lippen heb. Een purol stick is echt een must voor mij, gebruik ik dit niet dan liggen de velletjes op mijn lippen. Een goede reden om niet aan matte iipstick trend mee te doen. Maar ja als beauty blogger wil je natuurlijk wel alles uitproberen.

 

Omdat ik gek ben op mauve tinten besloot ik, toen ik bij Sephora in Nyc was, de Marvelous Mauve aan te schaffen. Ik had deze kleur gezien bij Judy (van ItsJudyslife) en was meteen verliefd. De kleur is echt prachtig en staat heel goed op een gekleurde huid. Het product voelt erg droog aan op de lippen daarom gebruik ik er een lipgloss bij. Echt een heel klein beetje in het midden aangebracht en dan de lippen een beetje op elkaar persen.

 

Zonder de lipgloss zou ik dit product niet kunnen dragen, het zou ook niet mooi staan. Van die droge gebarsten lippen zijn niet echt sexy. De kwaliteit is goed en het blijft lange tijd zitten. Omdat ik wat lipgloss en lipbalsem gebruik, weet ik niet hoe lang deze liquid lipstick normaal blijft zitten.

Matte liquid lipsticks are very populair for some time now. I love the matte and intense colour that a matte lipstick gives. What i don't love is the dry feeling on my lips. I can't go a day without my chapstick. That would be a good reason not to buy or wear a matte lipsticks. But i couldn't resist, a beauty blogger has to stay update with her beauty products.

 

I decide to go for a mauve tint and i bought Marvelous Mauve by the Sephora brand. I had seen this colour on Judy (from ItsJudyslife) and i immediately fell in love. The colour looks good on my coloured skintone. To avoid al this dryness on my lips, I put a tiny bit of lipgloss on my lips and press my lips together. To chase away the very dry feeling.

 

The quality is good the liquid lipstick stays on for a couple of hours. Even when I'm using lipgloss.

Het merk MUA is sinds een paar maanden ook verkrijgbaar bij het Kruidvat. In mijn Kruidvat kwam ik MUA pas een paar weken geleden tegen. MUA is een betaalbaar Engels makeup merk. En ze hebben hele leuke producten o.a. betaalbare oogschaduwpaletjes.

 

Mijn eerste Mua artikel is een lipstick, het was moeilijk kiezen want alle "testers" waren weg. Ik heb er aan de hand van de kleurenkaart, een uitgekozen. Nummer 7 is een heldere koraalroze kleur met wat glans erin. Eigenlijk hou ik  niet zo van de glanslipsticks maar ik vind de glans net genoeg en het doet ook wat voor de kleur. Qua kleur lijkt het wat op Indian Pink van Nyx alleen is het iets meer koraal kleurig.

 

 

Ondanks de lage prijs is de lipstick heel goed gepigmenteerd ondanks dat, moet ik toch een aantal keer per dag de kleur bijwerken. Voor de prijs is het een goede lipstick.

MUA lipstick nr 7 is my first introduction to the brand. Mua makeup is been sold at my local drugstore for a few weeks now. I've seen much beautiful things, such as eyeshadow palettes, bronzers and blushers.

 

Yesterday í decided to buy one of their lipsticks. My choice nr 7 is a lovely pink/coral shade. It has some shimmer in it and i usually don't wear shimmery lipsticks. But in this case the shimmer adds something to the colour and it doesn't make my lips look wrinkly. The colour reminds me of Nyx Indian Pink only this colour has more Coral in it.

 

The pigmentation is really good but i still have to  re-apply. This is a very good product, considering the price.

 

 

 

 





(90's lip) Essence Barely there (lipstick) + Catrice Al Burgundy (eyeshadow)

Gisteren heb ik het kruidvat een bezoekje gebracht. Ik was nieuwsgierig naar de velvet matt oogschaduws van Catrice. Doordat het erg druk was heb ik niet alle kleuren kunnen swatchen. Van tevoren had ik al een kijkje op de site van Catrice genomen en wist ik al voor welke kleur ik zou gaan.

Een mooie bordeauxrode (parelmoer effect) kleur "Al Burgundy". Echt een mooie kleur vooral voor de herfst en winter. Deze oogschaduw is goed gepigmenteerd en voelt ook erg cremig aan. Er zijn in totaal 6 verschillende kleuren: champagne, pastelroze, bruin/taupe, grijs, mosgroen en bordeaux. Deze oogschaduw is behalve betaalbaar ook nog van goede kwaliteit. Ik kan haast niet wachten om het te gebruiken. Hieronder zie je foto's en een swatch van deze oogschaduw.

Every now and then i visit the Catrice/Essence website to look for new products. It was on the site where i discovered the velvet matt eyeshadows by Catrice. There a 6 colours in total: champagne, pastel pink, taupe, grey, mossgreen and burgundy. Yesterday i went to the drugstore in search for Al Burgundy.

And here it is, a real beauty the colour is so suitable for fall and winter. The pigmentation is great and the shadow itself is very creamy. I just love when products have great quality and are affordable too. Look at the pictures.

 

 

 

 

Behalve deze mooie oogschaduw heb ik ook een mooie lipstick gekocht, geheel in de 90's trend. Het is Barely there van Essence. Ik ben al een tijdje op zoek naar zo'n kleur maar ik wilde niet te veel geld eraan uitgeven. Dit is, naar mijn mening, de perfecte kleur voor een 90's lip, de kleur zelf is een mix van licht bruin en mauve.

 

De lipsticks van Essence zijn niet sterk gepigmenteerd met name voor degene die net als ik, gepigmenteerde lippen hebben. Maar ik kan hier wel mee uit de voeten, in combinatie met een bijpasende kleur lippotlood moet dit wel goed komen. En ik denk dat deze lipstick heel mooi past bij de Al Burgundy oogschaduw.

I also bought a lipstick by Essence. I've been searching for a 90's look lipstick and i saw a couple of lipsticks but they weren't all that. At first i wanted it to be affordable and yesterday i succeed. The colour i have is Barely there and it's the perfect 90's colour. The colour is a mix between brown/taupe and mauve.

 

I'm very content with my new lipstick. A sidenote is, the Essence lipsticks aren't strong pigmented so i need a matching lippencil to make it work. I have a lot of lippencils so it will be easy to find a matching colour. I think this lipstick makes a great combination with the Al Burgundy eyeshadow.

 

 

 

 



Mac A novel romance (

It's time for a (small haul) last friday i went to Amsterdam for the preview of A novel romance. The latest Mac LE collection ( in the Netherlands)wich got his inspiration from the paperback romance novels.

The collection has: 3 quads, 6 lipsticks,  5 tinted lipglasses, 1 haute and naughty too black mascara,  2 blushes, 7 fluidline eyeliners, 2 makeup brushes ( 213 224) and 8 electric cool eyeshadows.

I bought 2 items out of the entire collection. These Mac collections can get so expensive, i already made a choice based on reviews from the internet.
I bought one quad An amorous adventure, this quad contains: sable, sex & the oyster. brawn and black tied. My favourite of the 3 quads because of the diversity of colours. My favourite colour of the quad is Sex & the oyster , a seafoam green (veluxe pearl). The other colours are; Sable ( a medium gold brown), brawn (a taupe brown) and black tied (a sparkly black).

I definitly will be using this quad for an f.o.t.d. soon. The other item i bought is a matte lipstick.  The name is Hearts aflame and it's a beautiful brick red. Something different compared to the other lipsticks in the collection. I love the warmth and intensity of this colour. Don' t know if i will be using it together with the palette.  I'm not shure if the colours are going to match.

Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids



Gisteravond was het makeup koopavond bij het Kruidvat. Het tweede produkt was gratis, ik hoop dat jullie er gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Alhoewel ik niets nodig had besloot ik toch even te gaan kijken want ik was toch in de buurt. Het was redelijk druk dus besloot ik snel weg te gaan. Ondanks de drukte heb ik toch twee produkten kunnen uitkiezen, één van die produkten is een van de Colorsensational Vivids lipsticks van Maybelline. Ik heb gekozen voor nummer 902 Fuchsia Flash. Een prachtige fuchsia roze. Ik heb het nog niet opgedaan dus kan ik niet zeggen of deze lipstick goed gepigmenteerd is. Tijdens mijn vakantie heb ik al een lipstick van deze serie gekocht. Het is nummer 905 Brazen Berry een prachtige paarse berry kleur. Deze kleur is erg goed gepigmenteerd en is echt één van mijn favorieten van dit najaar.

Yesterday i went makeupshopping, my local drugstore had a great makupsale. 50% off the second makeup item. I wasn't really in need of something but i decided to go and take a look, as i was in the neighborhood anyway. Needless to say that it was crowded, that's why i decided to leave early. Despite the crowd i managed to purchase two items, one of these items is a Maybelline Colorsensational Vivid lipstick. I chose number 902 Fuchsia Flash a beautiful fuchsia colour. I have a thing for fuchsia lipsticks lately. I haven't tried the colour yet so i hope that it's pigmented. I already have one colorsensational lipstick and it's number 905 Brazen Berry. This colour is one of my favourites of this fall. A beautiful purple/berry tone, that's very pigmented. I have worn it plenty times since i bought it.

Nyx soft matte lip cream

Tijdens mijn vakantie heb ik een paar nieuwe lipproducten gekocht (oa lipsticks) waaronder deze van Nyx. De soft matte lip cream, ik had er vorig jaar ook een gekocht maar de kleur lag te dicht bij mijn eigen kleur en was dus bijna niet zichtbaar. Nu heb ik een mooie oud-roze kleur (ietwat mauve) en de kleur staat me echt mooi. Zoals de naam al aangeeft heeft het een matte finish. De naam is Milani.

Ik dep het product op mijn lippen zodat het zich vermengt met mijn natuurlijke kleur en het resultaat is fantastisch. Ik heb het dan ook vaak gebruikt echt perfect voor de dagen dat je wel wat kleur wil maar je wilt niet dat het teveel opvalt. Ik weet niet of je dit in Nederland kunt krijgen maar ik vermoed dat je dit wel via webshops kunt kopen. Dit is zeker een aanrader.

Nyx soft matte lip cream

This is one of the lipproducts i bought during my vacation, Nyx soft matte lip cream. Last year i bought one too, but the colour was so close to my natural lipcolour, it was hardly noticeable. I do like matte lipsticks so i wanted to buy another colour. I choose Milani a Mauvey pink colour, that suits me much better. I dab the product on my lips to blend it in with my own lipcolour. I love the result, my lips are coloured but do look natural. This product stays on for a quite a while too, it's definiteley one of my favourite lipproducts.

Hi everyone it's been a while since my last blogpost, i was vacationing in LA that's why i haven't blogged for a while. I had a fantastic vacation and i brought back some goodies from the US. One of them is this beautiful (fall) lipstick from Milani. It's a berry colour with beautiful red undertones, that's the best way i can describe this colour. The name Uptown Mauve doesn't suit the colour at all.

I bought this lipstick at Walgreens, in Las Vegas. I was looking for some new Milani products at Cvs (the one near to my appartment) but they didn't have such a big Milani collection. So i was lucky to run into this colour in Las Vegas.

If you're looking for a vibrant fall lipstick, this is the one i can recommend. Actually this is a colour you can wear whole year through.  



Catrice Glamazona lipcolour pencils

Ik wil jullie nog even attenderen op twee lip colour pennen uit de Glamazona  LE van Catrice.  Deze collectie ligt al even in de winkels en ik keek er min of meer overheen. Totdat ik een foto van Debbie (beautyscene) op instagram zag met mooie rode lippen. Het bleek dus dat zij één van lip colour pennen op had gedaan.

Gelukkig waren de pennen nog voorradig, overigens de meeste artikelen van deze serie zijn nog verkrijgbaar. Ik heb de rode I'm a survivor en de roze I got the flower!. Dit zijn echt pennen van goede kwaliteit dat wil zeggen de pigmentatie is heel goed. De pennen kosten € 4, 99 per stuk. Als je interesse hebt dan wil ik je aanraden snel naar de winkel te gaan.

I'm into bold lip colours lately. I used to be a nude lipstick lover but not so much lately. A couple of days ago i spotted a beautiful lipcolour on instagram. It turned to be a lip colour pencil from the Catrice LE Glamazona. This LE has been in stores for a couple of weeks. I didn't pay much attention to it and i'm glad someone pointed it out.

Needless to stay that i went shopping and i bought the two lippencils from the collection. The red one is called I'm a survivor and the pink one is I got the flower! Both pencils are very pigmented, look at the swatches.  This LE is still available in drugstores. The price is €4,99 each.

Rimmel London Kiss of Life (Kate Moss matte lipstick)

Rode lipstick, jaren geleden was ik er gek op. Een rode lipstick ontbrak echt nooit in mijn collectie. Op een bepaald moment ben ik overgaan op de meer neutrale kleuren en ontstond mijn lipstick voorraad bijna alleen uit nudes. Tot vorig jaar, toen kocht ik Red van Mac en sinds die tijd oog ik vaker naar de fellere kleuren.

Van het weekend was ik bij de Etos en daar zag ik deze mooie dieprode kleur van Rimmel London. En ik kon het echt niet laten staan. Het is een lipstick uit de matte collectie van Kate Moss en de naam is Kiss of life (111) . Kiss of life is een rode kleur met een oranje ondertoon. Voor mij is dit een kleur voor een speciale gelegenheid.

Net als mijn andere matte lipstick van Rimmel (101), is dit ook een fijne lipstick om aan te brengen. Een matte lipstick die niet stroef aanvoelt maar lekker zacht. Ik heb toch wat met deze serie, ten eerste vind ik de verpakking heel erg mooi en ook de kwaliteit van de lipsticks zijn super. Rimmel London levert hiermee highend kwaliteit voor een betaalbare prijs.

Red lipstick, many years ago red was my go to colour. That was until i discovered the neutrals and i would buy almost every nude lipstick. Last year i found myself buying Mac Red, that was a big turning point. Ever since that day i'm eyeing  at the bold colours.

This weekend i was at the drugstore and i saw this beautiful red by Rimmel London. I just had to buy it, it is a lipstick from the matte collection by Rimmel London. This red colour has an orange undertone and its called Kiss of life.

Just like my other Rimmel lipstick from the matte series, (101) this is also a very smooth lipstick. Sometimes matte lipsticks can be dry and hard to apply. Not these lipsticks, they are just as smooth as a sheer one. I love this line, i love the design and the quality. Rimmel London matte lipsticks are highend quality for a drugstore price.

Mac Temperature rising lipsick Altered Beige

Gisteren heb ik mijn bestelling ontvangen. Een lipstick van Mac uit de Temperature rising collectie. Ik heb voor Altered Beige gekozen. Een mooie naturel kleur. Helaas is deze kleur te licht voor mij. Ik ga het in combinatie met een lipliner of over een andere kleur dragen

Kijk zelf maar. Wat vind je ervan?

Yesterday i received my order fromMac. I chose a lipstick from the Tempetature rising collection. Its a nude and the name is Altered beige. The colour is too light for my skintone, but i'm definitly going to wear it. I will wear on top of a lipliner or another lipstick.
