Nail Hydrator X formula for Sephora

 

 

 

 

A couple of months ago my nails were in a terrible state. My nails would break, chip and they were very thin. During my vacation in NY i went to Sephora, where i discovered a very good product for my nails

 

The product is the Nail hydrator from X formula for Sephora. Before buying it, i tested it first. I only wanted to buy it, if the product really worked. The Nail hydrator is high priced and it would be a waste if the product didn't work.

 

Within two days i noticed a difference, my nails were supple and looked healthier. I didn't had to think twice, i went back to Sephora and bought a bottle of Nail hydrator. Within two weeks my nails were back to healthy. Every second day i put on a new coat of the hydrator and on top of that i would put a nail hardner. I used "Hard as nails" from Sally Hansen.

 

Up to this day i use both on my nails and you can see the improvement. The Nail hydrator does its name right. It does hydrate,  my nails need a lot of hydration. I can highly recommend this product. It is pricy but it does work.

So this is what i've doing the last months it is also the reason why i haven't been posting fora while.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel review

Vandaag een review over de Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. Een vrij nieuwe nagellaklijn van Sally Hansen. Deze nagellak zou net zo sterk zou zijn als gellak, zonder gebruik van een Uv-/Led lamp. Volgens de info zou de nagellak 14 dagen lang goed moeten blijven.

Ongeveer vier weken geleden heb ik een potje aangeschaft, ik kwam de lijn tegen bij  Ici Paris. Ik heb voor een zacht pastelroze kleur gekozen, Pinky Promise nr 160. Voor het beste resultaat moet je naast de nagellak ook de Miracle Gel topcoat aanschaffen.

De nagellak breng je aan op je "blote" nagels, dus geen basecoat gebruiken en de nagel goed vetvrij maken. Dit kan door middel van remover te gebruiken. De substantie vond ik zelf vrij dun en ik had drie lagen nodig voor een mooi dekkend resultaat.

De droogtijd is een probleem want je moet ongeveer 20 minuten droogtijd in acht houden, per laag. Het schijnt dat als je je handen in zonlicht houdt, dat dan de lak sneller droogt. Dat heb ik niet geprobeerd. De nagellak is makkelijk aan te brengen en dit geldt ook voor de topcoat. Volgens diverse blogs zou de topcoat ook heel goed werken samen met andere lakjes.

Over het resultaat was ik vrij tevreden, de volledige veertien dagen heb ik niet gehaald. Na vijf dagen waren er al lichte beschadigingen te zien. Niet heel erg maar toch. Bij een "gewone" nagellak heb ik vaak al na drie dagen beschadigingen. En soms is het zelfs zo dat er van één of meerdere nagels de lak er al bijna af is.

Vandaar dat ik heel tevreden ben met dit resultaat. Alleen een "echte" gellak ( die je met de uv-/led lamp droogt)  is bij mij langer dan veertien dagen blijven zitten.

Voordelen:
De Miracle Gel  blijft langer zitten dan de gemiddelde nagellak.
De Miracle Gel is in diverse kleuren verkrijgbaar
Je hoeft niets extra's te doen om de nagellak aan te brengen, zoals bijvoorbeeld vijlen van het nageloppervlak.
De nagellak is heel makkelijk aan te brengen.


Nadelen
De Miracle Gel is duurder dan de gemiddelde nagellak omdat je bij de eerste aankoop ook de topcoat moet aanschaffen.
De nagellak blijft geen 14 dagen zitten.

Todays blogpost is a review about Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel. A new longlasting nailpolish of Sally Hansen. The nailpolish could hold up to fourteen days according to the display. The benefit is that you don't need a Uv- or ledlamp to harden/dry the polish.

I'm all for a longlasting nailpolish and fourteen days is almost like eternity, when it conceirns nailpolish. I decided to go for a pastel pink Pinky Promise (nr 160). I also purchased the Miracle Gel topcoat for the best longlasting result.

The polish itsel was very easy to apply. You can apply it just like any other nailpolish but don't use a basecoat. For the colour of my choise i needed three coats for an opaque result.

The drying time took about 20 minutes per coat, so that is quite a long time. I have read on other blogs that it does help if you put your hands in the sunlight. This reduces the drying time, i haven't  tried that yet.

The outcome was quite good, no the polish didn't last for fourteen days. After five days i had some chipping, mostly on my right hand. But i'm content with that "normal" polishes last me three days and sometimes there is not much left of the polish. The only polish that lasted over fourteen days is a true gellac (the one you harden/ dry wit a Uv- /Ledlamp).

Sally Hansen Nail Nutrition (Green Tea & Bamboo)

Hallo allemaal, het is alweer een tijdje geleden dat ik artikel gepost heb. Door drukte en andere omstandigheden had ik geen tijd en zin om te bloggen. Maar goed vandaag wel en ik wil jullie iets laten zien dat ik afgelopen zaterdag gekocht heb.

Ik heb al een paar maanden last van droge, schilferende en zwakke nagels. Normaal zijn mijn nagels best dik en kunnen ze best tegen een stootje. De laatste weken scheuren ze makkelijk vandaar dat ik mijn nagels nu superkort hou.

Het was tijd om naar een goede base coat op zoek te gaan. Mijn keus viel de Nail Nutrition van Sally Hansen. Er zit Groene thee en Bamboe in om de nagels sterker te maken. Groene thee staat bekend om zijn helende en herstellende kwaliteiten, waar de bamboe voor zorgt is mij niet bekend. Dit staat ook niet op het doosje vermeld.

Ik gebruik het sinds maandag dus ik kan je nog niet zeggen of het echt helpt, een review volgt zeer binnenkort. Wat ik fijn vindt aan deze strengthner, is dat je het zowel als base- en topcoat kan gebruiken. Verder heb ik goed ervaringen met de producten van Sally Hansen dus ik ben erg benieuwd.

Hi everyone, i'm back and i know it's been a while since my last blogpost. I have been buisy with very important and sometimes not so pleasant things. But anyhow i'm back and today i wanted to show you my latest purchase.

 

It's the Sally Hansen Nail Nutrition with Green Tea & Bamboo. For the past year my nails were very brittle and they did a lot of chipping. Normally i have very thick nails. So i decided to go and look for a strengthner. 

Sally Hansen's strengthner seemed like a good one for me. I have used a couple of base coats from this brand and they all seem to work very good. So i'll keep my hopes up for this one. A full review is coming soon.

Essence Effect Nails

Van de week kwam ik wat nieuwe nailart spulletjes van Essence tegen. Ze heten Essence effect nails, het zijn glitters in een potje waarmee je je nagels kunt versieren. Het zag er zo leuk uit dat ik drie potjes heb gekocht.

De serie bestaat uit acht verschillende nailart versieringen, van glitters, flakes, metaalpoeder,  fluweelpoeder en die leuke kleine pareltjes. De kleuren: blauw, roze, wit, zilver, multicolour, fuchsia, rood en zwart (antraciet). Ik heb ze uitgeprobeerd en ik vond het effect heel mooi, alleen het aanbrengen was wat bewerkelijk. Nu doe ik al een aantal jaar nailart, dus wat geduld doet wonderen.

Het lastige van het potje is dat je je vinger er niet in kan steken om de glitters op je nagels te krijgen. Ik heb een beetje van het glitter in een potje gedaan en met een kwast de glitters aangebracht. Eerst wat topcoat op de nagel en een beetje topcoat op het kwastje, daarna in de glitter gedept en aangebracht op de nagel. Het is bewerkelijk en misschien was het makkelijker geweest om de glitter op de nagel te strooien.

Al met al een mooi product voor degene die nog wat tijd over heeft, of wiens hobby nail art is.

Essence effect nails is a series of nailglitters, velvet powder, flakes, metalic glitter and nailbeads for decorating your nails. They are available in eight diffrent colours. The colours: blue, pink, silver, white, multicolour, fuchsia, red and black. I bought three of the eight.

Applying the glitters wasn't that easy, normally you can dip your finger in the jar, but the opening was too small. I poured some glitter into a little cup and applied it with a brush. I put some topcoat on my nail, put some topcoat on the brush and applied the glitter. This took some time, maybe it would have been easier to pour some glitter over my nail.

I love the effect and if you're into nailart, this might be something for you.

Showing my almost bare nails today :). I first buffed and shined my nails before i put on Pro White Original by Alessandro.

Pro White is a clear nailpolish with brightening effect with an anti-yellowing formula for white nails. So says the European website of Alessandro (http://www.alessandro.eu).

I received this nailpolish in my Glossybox of July, it's the first time i tried it and i wanted to give you a look. On the pic you can't see this but the polish has a bit of a blue undertone, thats what makes the nails look whiter. It's a great polish when your nails are a bit yellow (not the smokers yellow nails) and you want to make them look cleaner. It makes your nails look like they've been professionally manicured.

It's also great polish for those who can't wear nailpolish (the coloured ones) at the job. Your nails get a nice shine and they look healthy and clean. Pro White costs € 12.95.
