First Impression Essence The Lash Curler mascara

Vandaag een korte eerste impressie van een mascara. Het is de Essence The Lash Curler Mascara, een nieuwe mascara in het assortiment van Essence. Ik heb deze mascara gekocht omdat ik geïnteresseerd was in de "inbebouwde" wimperkruller. Je brengt de mascara aan en daarna kun je door aan het handvat te draaien de wimpers krullen.

Het lijkt makkelijker dan het is want je moet aan het middelste gedeelte draaien (dat rode met bobbeltjes) en dat vergt wel wat extra inspanning. Omdat ik van nature hele rechte wimpers heb had ik mijn wimpers al (voor) gekruld. Het krullen met de mascara ging aardig maar het is niet iets wat ik in een paar seconden kan doen. Je moet er echt even wat tijd voor nemen. Het lukte aardig maar ik kan niet zeggen dat mijn wimpers hierdoor nu super goed gekruld waren.

De mascara zelf is van goede kwaliteit, het liep niet uit en mijn wimpers hadden volume. Dus dat is de prijs meer dan waard, de mascara kost rond de 3 euro. Voor het krullen van de wimpers zou ik het niet aanschaffen maar als je een betaalbare mascara wil die je volle wimpers geeft, dan is dit een aanrader.

This is my first impression about a mascara from Essence. It's the Lash Curler a new mascara in their makeup line. This Lash Curler is not only a mascara but it can also curl your lashes. The wand can rotate (you have to turn the red middle part around), the rotation helps to curl your lashes. It takes some time and practise to move the wand while holding it on your lashes, but it can be done. Before i applied the mascara i already had curled my lashes, my lashes are very straight so they need some extra help. After applying the mascara i curled my lashes by twirling the wand, the result wasn't that amazing. The wand might have curled my lashes a bit extra but not in a overly visible way.

The mascara on the other hand is a great product, it ads volume to the lashes and it doesn't run out. After a day my mascara was still on my lashes, it didn't transfer to my undereyes. In my opinion this is a great mascara, especially concerning the price, but not a great lash curler.

Latest buy: Essence Blush up Powder blush

Eén van mijn laatste aanwinsten deze mooie blush van Essence. Ik heb het al een tijdje op het oog, ik kijk regelmatig op de website van Essence. Deze blush viel op omdat het een combi is van twee kleuren, vrolijk oranje en bloemig roze. Mijn voorkeur gaat uit naar de fellere blushes omdat die nu eenmaal beter zichtbaar zijn op mijn huid.

Ik heb het nog niet gebruikt maar wel geswatched, en ik vond de pigmentatie goed. Ik hoop dat het mooi zichtbaar zal zijn op mijn huidskleur.Deze kleurcombinatie heet nr 10 Heatwave. Van deze lijn is er nog een combi blush, die is vooral roze georiënteerd.

This is one of my latest purchases this beautiful bright coloured blush by Essence. I've been eyeing it for a couple of weeks on the website. I prefer bold colours for my blushes because the bold colours are better visible on my skintone. The combi of bright orange and a flowery pink is amazing.

I haven't used it yet, but i did swatched and the pigmentation is good. I hope this colour will show off on my skintone. The name is Heatwave nr 10. There is another more pinky tone also available in this line.

OPI Brazil collection : Don't bossa nova me around & Toucan do it if you try

Don't bossa nova me around

Nou hier is ie dan, don't bossa nova me around uit de Opi Brazil collection. Deze collectie van Opi bestaat uit 12 nagellakjes. De collectie bestaat uit vooral felle kleuren zoals geel, oranje maar ook een aantal naturel kleuren.Toen ik de reclames op Fb zag was dit al meteen mijn eerste keus. Een mooie nude die het best te beschrijven is als een romige taupe kleur.

Van de nudes die in deze collectie zitten is dit echt mijn favoriet en op dit moment zelfs de favoriet van alle nudes, die ik bezit. Dit is een nude die goed staat op elke huidskleur staat. Deze nagellak is goed dekkend, ik heb twee laagjes aangebracht voor de foto. Een mooie kleur die ik niet zo snel in een Brazil collectie zou verwachten, maar daarom niet minder mooi. Dit lakje gaat nog heel vaak gedragen worden.

There's nothing wrong with a beautiful nude  like Don't bossa nova me around (i love the name). This is a nude from the Opi Brazil collection. This collection has twelve nailpolishes, mostly bold colours. The collection also has three natural colours, Don't bossa nova me around is my favourite of the nudes.This my favourite of all the nudes i have in my collection. The coverage is great, for the pic i applied two coats.

Dit is het tweede kleurtje dat ik heb aangeschaft uit deze collectie. Een fris koraal oranje dat erg Braziliaans aandoet. Het doet me denken aan de kleur van een rijpe papaja.  Van de felle kleuren vond ik deze het opvallendst, ik ging in eerste instantie voor Where did suzys mango maar die kleur vond ik niet echt apart. Het was een kleur oranje die je wel vaker tegenkomt. Van alle kleuren uit deze lijn, zijn de kleuren die ik heb uitgezocht voor mij het opvallendst. De gele kleur (Just cant Cope-acabana)was ook apart maar dat is typisch een kleur die ik niet vaak ga dragen. Deze mooie oranje kleur wel, dit wordt mijn zomerlakje voor 2014.

Toucan do it if you try is a lovely and vibrant coral/orange. The colour reminds me of the inside of a ripe Papaya, it is very Brazilian. Of all the bright colours i liked this one the most. I thought i would like Where did Suzys mango the most, but in real live it was just like an everyday orange. The two colours i've bought are my favourites of the twelve. For a minute i thought of buying Just cant Cope-acabana but that's not a colour i would wear. This beautiful coral/orange is, and it's going to my favourite summerpolish.

N.O.T.D. Essence topcoat 101 Dalmations

Mijn n.o.t.d. van vandaag is deze leuke topcoat van Essence. Het heet 101 Dalmations. Een topcoat met witte en zwarte spikkels en ook wat zilver mini glitter.
Ik vind het effect heel grappig, het is weer iets anders dan de gebruikelijke glitter topcoats. Voor het effect heb ik drie kleuren lak gebruikt om te kijken op welke lak het het beste overkomt. Mijn mening is dat het alle drie kleuren goed overkomt.

Todays n.o.t.d. is a cute Essence topcoat, 101 Dalmations. The topcoat has white and black speckles and some silver mini glitter. I love the effect on my nails, it's something different from the usual glitter topcoats. I wanted to see on wich colour the effect would be the best, so i applied three different nailpolish colours. In my opinion it works on all thre colours.

Rimmel Moisture review Nr 105 Mayfair Red Lady

Een prachtige, niet al te felle kleur rood. De lipsticks uit deze lijn zijn fijn voor droge lippen.

A beautiful red that is not too bright. Love this colour and i love that it moisturizes the lips.

Rimmel Apocalips nr 402 Across the Universe

Dit is een mooie roestkleurige (bruin/rood) kleur. Speciaal voor degene die niet voor felrood willen gaan maar toch een kleur op de lippen willen hebben.

A beautiful rusty brown/red. For those who are intimidated by a bright red lip. With this lipcolour you can have a more demure red colour on your lips.



Rimmel London Kiss of life

Mijn favoriete drugstore rood. Een mooie felrode kleur, die ook nog eens lang blijft zitten. Ideaal voor een stapavondje en lekker betaalbaar.

My favourite drugstore red. It's bright red, the perfect colour for a night out. This colour stays on the whole night.



Milani Uptown Mauve

Een kleur die je misschien niet makkelijk in Nederland kan krijgen. Sommige webshops verkopen Milani produkten zoals bijv The Boozyshop. Dit is een mooie fuchsia rode kleur met een mooie glans. Voor degene die een ander soort rood wil.

This beautiful lipstick is difficult to find in Holland. If you're interested, The Boozyshop is a website that sells Milani products in Holland. The colour is something different then the traditional bright red. It is a beautiful fuchsia red, with a beautiful shine. If you're not into bright reds but you do want some bright coloured lips, this might be your colour.

Mac Red

Mijn favoriet high end rode lipstick. De substantie is vrij droog, dus goed scrubben en een lipbalm gebruiken voor het aanbrengen. De perfecte rode kleur voor Valentijnsdag.

My favourite high end lipstic. It is a matte lipstick but with some lipscrub and some lipbalm, it is wearable. This is a very sexy colour, therefore it's perfect for Valentinesday.

Essence Effect Nails

 

Essence effect Nails
Van de week kwam ik wat nieuwe nailart spulletjes van Essence tegen. Ze heten Essence effect nails, het zijn glitters in een potje waarmee je je nagels kunt versieren. Het zag er zo leuk uit dat ik drie potjes heb gekocht.

De serie bestaat uit acht verschillende nailart versieringen, van glitters, flakes, metaalpoeder,  fluweelpoeder en die leuke kleine pareltjes. De kleuren: blauw, roze, wit, zilver, multicolour, fuchsia, rood en zwart (antraciet). Ik heb ze uitgeprobeerd en ik vond het effect heel mooi, alleen het aanbrengen was wat bewerkelijk. Nu doe ik al een aantal jaar nailart, dus wat geduld doet wonderen.

Het lastige van het potje is dat je je vinger er niet in kan steken om de glitters op je nagels te krijgen. Ik heb een beetje van het glitter in een potje gedaan en met een kwast de glitters aangebracht. Eerst wat topcoat op de nagel en een beetje topcoat op het kwastje, daarna in de glitter gedept en aangebracht op de nagel. Het is bewerkelijk en misschien was het makkelijker geweest om de glitter op de nagel te strooien.

Al met al een mooi product voor degene die nog wat tijd over heeft, of wiens hobby nail art is.

Essence effect nails is a series of nailglitters, velvet powder, flakes, metalic glitter and nailbeads for decorating your nails. They are available in eight diffrent colours. The colours: blue, pink, silver, white, multicolour, fuchsia, red and black. I bought three of the eight.

Applying the glitters wasn't that easy, normally you can dip your finger in the jar, but the opening was too small. I poured some glitter into a little cup and applied it with a brush. I put some topcoat on my nail, put some topcoat on the brush and applied the glitter. This took some time, maybe it would have been easier to pour some glitter over my nail.

I love the effect and if you're into nailart, this might be something for you.

Essence I love stage eyeshadow base

Een oogschaduw basis die ik al een tijdje gebruik is die van Essence, de I love Stage eyeshadow base. Het is lekker betaalbaar en het werkt ook goed. Wat ik vooral heel fijn vind, is dat het lekker makkelijk aan te brengen is. Het product is vloeibaar en dus makkelijk uit te smeren. Je kunt het ook onder je ogen gebruiken zodat je concealer goed blijft zitten.

Door deze basis blijft je oogschaduw wel een paar uur mooi zitten, ongeveer 5 tot 6 uur. Gezien de prijs is dat behoorlijk lange periode, het kost niet meer dan € 4,-.

The current eyeshadow base i use is the Essence I love Stage eyeshadow base. It's a great base for eyeshadow. I love that it's fluid wich makes it very easy to apply. You don't need much product. With this base my eyeshadow stays on for about 5 tot 6 hours, wich is a long time. You can also apply the base under your eyes, to keep your concealer in place. It costs about

€ 4,- .
