N.O.T.D. Miss Sporty nr 302

This Miss Sporty nailpolish is a fuchsia red, a very beautiful colour. And the quality is surprisingly good, i'm wearing this nailpolish for 3 days now and i have no trouble with chipping. This is also an affordable nailpolish, it costs about € 3,-.

Maybelline Lipstick en Etos lippaint/Maybelline Lipstick and Etos lippaint

Etos Lippaint

Ik heb het dan eindelijk, één van de Etos Lippaints. Afgelopen zaterdag heb ik dan eindelijk eentje gekocht. Ik heb gekozen voor nummer 008 een koraalkleur. Etos lippaints zijn denk ik vergelijkbaar met de Lipfinity's van Max Factor, met een flink verschil in de prijs. Je hebt een lippaint én een topcoat, voor  € 6,-.

Als eerste doe je de lippaint op, dit laat je een minuut of 2 drogen. Daarna ga je eroverheen met de topcoat. De lippaint zelf is vrij droog van structuur, de topcoat voegt wat glans toe hierdoor voelt het minder droog aan.

Afgelopen zaterdag heb ik de lippaint meteen geprobeerd voor ongeveer vier uur en inderdaad de kleur zat er na vier uur nog steeds op. Fijn dat je tussendoor niet meer hoeft bij te werken, dit is ideaal voor bijvoorbeeld werk of een feestje.

Het nadeel voor mij is, vanwege mijn eeuwig droge lippen, is dat het ondanks de topcoat toch vrij droog aanvoelt. Ik denk dat dit onvermijdelijk is, een langhoudende lipstick is nu eenmaal droger van structuur. Is de lipstick te voedend, dan blijft het niet lang zitten. Lippaints zijn verkrijgbaar in diverse kleuren.

Etos lippaint (english)

I finally bought one of the Etos Lippaints. I chose number 008 a coral color. Etos lippaints are a bit  like Max Factor Lipfinity, the difference is in the price. You get a lippaint and a topcoat, and for both you pay € 6, -.

First put the lippaint on, allow this to dry for a two minutes. Then go over it with the topcoat. The lippaint itself is quite dry in texture, the topcoat adds some moisture so your lips feel less dry.

Last Saturday I immediately tried the lippaint for about four hours and indeed the color stayed on after four hours. I like this', you don't need to re-apply, which is ideal for work, a night out or a party.

The downside for me (thanks to my dry lips) is that despite the topcoat, my lips still feel quite dry. I think this is inevitable, long-lasting lipstick mosly has a dry texture. If  the lipstick is nourishing, it doesnt stay on for a long time. Lippaints are available in various colors.

Maybelline Colorsensational in Mango Diamonds (445)

Ook nieuw aangeschaft, de Maybelline colorsensational in Mango Diamonds (445). Dit is mijn eerste colorsensational en ik heb voor een oranje/koraalkleurige tint gekozen.

Colorsensational geeft iets meer dan een waas van kleur op je lippen, het is geen dekkende lipstick. Deze lipstick bevat glitters, vandaar de naam Mango Diamonds ;-).

Een fijne verzorgende lipstick in een mooi kleurtje. De prijs ligt rond de € 10,-

Maybelline Colorsensational in Mango Diamonds (445) (english)

I also purchased a Maybelline colorsensational in Mango Diamonds (445). This is my first colorsensational lipstick and I picked an orange /coral tint.

Colorsensational gives more than just a sheen of color on your lips, it's definitly not an opaque lipstick. This lipstick contains glitter, hence the name Mango Diamonds ;-).

A fine nourishing lipstick in a nice colour. The price is round € 10, -

Recent budget make-up shopping

Hoi hoi, vandaag een artikel over de beautyproducten die ik de afgelopen weken heb gekocht. Het zijn bijna allemaal producten van budgetmerken, op de Opi nagellak na. Een paar producten van Essence, een oogschaduw paletje van Catrice en wat nagellak. Het zijn wel bijna allemaal producten die net zijn toegevoegd aan de collectie. Misschien zit er iets bij wat je ook zou willen hebben, voor zover ik weet zijn alle producten nog verkrijgbaar in de winkel.

Hi, todays article is about the beauty products I've purchased in recent weeks. Almost all products are from budget brands, except for the Opi nail polish. A few products of Essence, an eyeshadow paletje of Catrice and some nail polish. They are almost all products that have just been added to the collection. Maybe there's something that you would like to have, as far as I know, all products are still available in stores.

Een nieuwe nagellak kleur van Essence die "We rock the green" heet een mooie (gras) groene kleur met wat shimmer erin. Een lekker kleurtje voor het voorjaar of de zomer. Deze kleur dekt goed op de foto heb ik twee laagjes opgedaan.

A new nailpolish color of Essence that is called "We rock the green"  a (grass) green color with some shimmer in it. It's a nice colour for spring or summer. This color covers well, i used two coats.

Dit is een andere nieuwe kleur van de collectie "Miss Universe"een mooie licht metallic  kleur blauw. De eerste laag is wat doorzichtig maar de tweede laag zorgt voor een goeie dekking. Een hele mooie kleur vind ik.

This is another new color from the collection and it's called "Miss Universe" a beautiful blue metallic-like color. The first layer is kind of transparent but after the second coat you get  a good coverage. I love this colour.

OPI Mariah Carey Liquid Sand ik heb voor de mini's gekozen. Een nagellak met een bijzondere ,de naam zegt het al, een zandachtige finish. Heel apart om te zien helaas bladdert het al na 1 dag af. Volgens de verkoopster zie je het effect het beste als je er geen topcoat overheen doet. Het nadeel is, dat de nagellak geen beschermlaagje heeft en dus snel gaat chippen.

OPI Mariah Carey Liquid Sand I opted for the mini's. This is a nail polish with a special finish. The name says it all it has a sandy finish. The effect is very special to see. unfortunately it peeled already after one day. According to the saleswoman  the effect shows best if you do not use a topcoat over it . The disadvantage is that the nailpolish has no protective layer and chips really fast.

Essence I Love punk jumbo eyeliner pen. Hier was ik echt benieuwd naar want het lijkt me reuze handig om met  zo'n dikke punt mijn eyeliner aan te brengen. Ik heb het nog niet uitgetest maar ik laat nog wel weten of het inderdaag zo handig is.

Love, Peas and Harmony, Catrice Smokey Eyes oogschaduw paletje in mooie groenachtige tinten. Het paletje bevat een lichtgroen shimmer, mosgroen ook shimmer, antracietgrijs en een eyeliner/cremeoogschaduw(?) in zwart. Ik vind de kleurencombinatie heel mooi en ik ga hier zeker een f.o.t.d. mee doen.

Love, Peas and Harmony, Catrice Smokey Eyes eyeshadow quad in beautiful greenish colours. The quad contains a light green shimmer, a moss green also a shimmer, a charcoal and an eyeliner / cream eyeshadow (?) in black. I like the color combination of this palette and I'm certainly going to do a  F.O.T.D. with it.

Als laatste het Essence Vintage District nail art decoration setje. De inhoud: zilverkleurige pareltjes, zilverkleurige glitters, strass steentjes in oudroze, goud folie en goud folie snippers. Heel leuk om mooie nagels mee te maken.

Last but not least  the Essence District Vintage nail art decoration kit. The content: silver beads, silver glitter, rhinestones in pink, gold foil and gold foil shreds. A very nice kit to have and to make beautiful nails with it.

Hema make up shopping

Afgelopen week ben ik bij de Hema geweest om te makeup shoppen. De oogschaduws van de Hema hebben een nieuwe verpakking (volgens mij ) ze zitten in een leuk rechthoekig doosje. De mono oogschaduws, daar lagen er heel wat van in verschillende kleuren, zien er echt leuk uit. Ik heb gekozen voor nummer 53 een taupe bruin achtige kleur. Natuurlijk heb ik ook geswatched, zie de foto's, en het viel me op dat de oogschaduws wat meer gepigmenteerd zijn dan voorheen.

Een paar jaar geleden was de Hema oogschaduw erg slecht gepigmenteerd, zo slecht dat het op mijn huidskleur, bijna niet te zien was. Eerlijk is eerlijk de pigmentatie is nog steeds niet super maar wel redelijk goed.

Wat ik ook heb aangeschaft is een nagellak en een lipgloss. De nagellak is in nummer 84 een shimmer oranje. Een hele mooie voorjaars- en zomerkleur. Past bij de trend van het komend voorjaar en zomer, oranje wordt helemaal hot. De lipgloss in nummer 03 een donkerroze kleur met wat (licht) glitter erin. De gloss is niet echt dekkend maar geeft een mooi waasje op de lippen. Eventueel kan je het ook over een lipstick dragen. De prijzen: oogschaduw mono € 3,50, lipgloss € 3,00 en de nagellak € 2,50.

Trouwens de oogschaduw bevat geen parabenen en is parfumvrij.

Last week I went to the Hema (Dutch department store) where  i've been makeup shopping. I went for the eyeshadows.  The eyeshadows have a new packaging, they're in a nice rectangular box now. The mono eyeshadows, there were lots of different colors, look really nice. I chose number 53 a taupe brown color. I swatched for you, see the pictures below,  I've noticed that the eyeshadows are more pigmented then before.

A few years ago, the pigmentation was so bad that the eyeshadows weren't visable on my skin tone. To be honest the pigmentation is still not super, but pretty good.

What I also purchased are a nail polish and lip gloss. The nail polish is in number 84 a shimmer orange, a beautiful spring and summer color. I think that coming spring and summer, orange will be totally hot. The lipgloss in number 03 is a dark pink color with some glitter in it. The gloss is not really opaque but gives a nice glaze on the lips.  Prices: mono eyeshadow

Catrice lipsticks

Het was een goeie week voor lipsticks. Afgelopen weekend heb ik twee lipsticks van Catrice gekocht. Een nude en een fel oranje. Over contrasten gesproken.
De nude heet "The Nuder the better" de oranje kleur heet " Oh juicy!". Beide zijn uit de Ultimate colour lijn van Catrice. Ook de verpakking ben ik helemaal weg van, het ziet er erg stijlvol uit. Deze lipsticks kosten tussen de € 2,- en €3,-.

I was inspired by Jessica Alba's look at the Golden Globes. I'm not saying that this orange is the exact same colour that she wore. Its just my interpretation of that colour.
The name of the orange one is "Oh juicy!" and the nude is called "The nuder the better". The price fof each lipstick is between € 2,- and €3,-.
By the way,  i love the packaging, i think it's very classy.

Mac Taupe

Ik heb gisteren een nieuwe Mac lipsick gehaald. Ik moest toch in Rotterdam zijn dus een kleine moeite om even langs de bijenkorf te gaan.

Candy yum yum was uitverkocht en natuurlijk wilde ik niet met lege handen weggaan. De keuze viel op Taupe een mooie middenbruine kleur met een ietwat paarse ondertoon. Eigenlijk is dit de bruine kleur waar ik al een tijdje naar op zoek ben. Je zult deze kleur ongetwijfeld in een fotd voorbij zien komen.

I bought myself a new Mac lipstick yesterday. While i was in Rotterdam i couldn't pass the Mac counter at de bijenkorf (department store).

Actually i was going for Candy yum yum but that one was sold out. I bought Taupe instead, a beautiful medium brown with a bit of a purple undertone. Just the brown colour i've been looking for. You will see me wear it in an fotd soon.

F.O.T.D. Everyday look

Today i'm showing you one of my every day looks. This is a look i do when i go to work or just for every daytime occasion. I think it's easy and quick to do. For this look you don't need eyeliner or an eyeliner pencil.

I begin by putting the eyelid colour from my Sweet as Candy palette (Wetnwild) on my eyelid. The colour is a shimmer fresh rosy pink. In the crease and halfway the browbone i use an earth tone blush, i applied this lightly with a blending brush. The brown brings out the pink on the eyelid. In the outher corner of my eyes (V) i applied the crease colour from the Sweet as Candy palette. This is a medium dark brown. I also apply this colour from the outside to halfway under my bottom lashes.

As an eyeliner i use the crease colour from the Silent Treatment palette (Wetnwild).This is a deep dark brown. I use this only on my upper lashline. Because my eyes are small i only apply it on the outher end of my eyes, so it enlarges the shape of my eyes. If your eyes are normal sized or big, you can go all the way with this colour. In my waterline i apply a beige eyeliner from Catrice. Ofcourse i appliedmascara, on the upper and bottom lashes. (don't forget to curl your lashes). This is how it's done.

Foundation: Ginvera BB cream for all skin tones (it was too light for my skintone)

Concealer: Erase paste Benefit nr 3
Eyes: Sweet as candy and Silent treatment palettes from Wet n Wild.
Eyes: Blusher nr 15 Bronze H&M
Eye liner pencil: Essence in 19 All i want (for my waterline)
Mascara: Clinique lash power mascara in Black onyx
Blush: Heather Silk Wet n Wild, this is a strongly pigmented colour. I used it lightly on my cheeks.
Highlighter: Bronzer by Fashionista in Barcelona
Eyebrows: Anastasia Brow pecil in Universal deep shade
Lips: Rimmel Matte Lipstick in 101
Lipliner: Essence in 07  Cute pink i applied this on my lips as a base, otherwise the lipstic colour would be too light for my skintone.

Down to the pore, blackhead banishing pore strips

Een kort review over de Down to the pore neusstrips. Ik heb ze een keer of drie gebruikt en ik vind dat ze heel goed werken. De poriën van mijn neus worden door deze strips goed gereinigd, dat zie je duidelijk terug als je de strip verwijderd.

Echt alles blijft erin zitten, als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel. Het nadeel vind ik wel dat de strips niet meteen hechten, bij mij tenminste, als je ze op je neus plaatst. Bij de tweede poging blijft de strip wel zitten. Ik heb deze strips bij het Kruidvat gekocht en ze kostten ongeveer € 6,50. Ik heb al strips van het huismerk van Kruidvat gebruikt en die van Action. De strips van het Kruidvat waren echt slecht, die van Action (€ 0,99) waren toch een stuk beter.

Voor een grondige reiniging, kan ik de strips van Down to the pore aanraden.
Dit staat er op de verpakking: "Get down to the pore met deze poriën reinigende super strips, die Tea tree and Kaolin bevatten. Kaolin absorbeert onzuiverheden, talg en vuil die de poriën kunnen verstoppen. Tea Tree heeft een antioxiderende werking en kalmeert en verzorgt de huid."

A review about the Down to the pore, strips. I've been using these for the third time now and i'm amazed. These are, in my opinion, the best pore strips i ever used, they clean out pores thoroughly.

After you remove the strips, you will see how good it cleans. I been using other pore strips, but these are the best so far. I have been using other home brands from 2 different drugstores, but they didn't do the job as good as these strips. I bought Down to the pore at my local drugstore Kruidvat and the price is about € 6,50.
