A weekend in Las Vegas

Here are some pics of my weekend in Las Vegas. We went on a weekendtrip from Los Angeles to Vegas and we did the trip by bus. We traveled with Luxbus America, the round trip cost about $125,- p.p. In this price there is no hotel included.

The trip from L.A. to Vegas lasts takes about four hours. The bus is airconditioned and the seats are comfortable.We made one stop at Barstow (a very small place) to go to the restroom and to have a (fastfood) lunch. A that there were only two hours left to get to Vegas.

For us it was the fourth time in Vegas. So we already know what to expect. If you go to Las Vegas for the first time you will be overwhelmed by the glitter and glamour. The main action you can find on the strip (Las Vegas boulrvard) that's where all the big hotles are seated. Each hotel is bigger and more beautiful than the other.That alone is so overwhelming.

In the evening the strip comes fully alive thats when you can enjoy the beautiful lights of Vegas. At daytime the street is crowded but at night you can't hardly walk. The atmosphere in Vegas is festive. People come from all over the world to party and to enjoy there time in Vegas. It's a bit like an escape from the real world.

You can shop.eat,drink,gamble and party all day long. For good and affordable food i'll advice you to take place at the buffets of the bigger hotels (Luxor/Mandalay bay/Mirage). Eat all you can for one price and thre's so much varation in the food. I think soda's are included in the price, for beer and wine you have to pay extra. Clubs are also seated in the big hotels so after dinner you can go and party. If you decide to go shopping there are many shops in the hotels too. You can pay a visit to the fashion mall where you can find shops like Macy's, Forever 21, Dillards, Neiman Marcus etc.

N.O.T.D.

Todays Notd is done with Wet n Wild Megalast polish. On the thumb,middlefinger and pinky i'm wearing Heatwave 212C. Heatwave is a soft orange. On the other two nails i'm wearing Tropicalia 210c. Tropicalia is a pink.

Both are beautiful and i'm content with the formulation too. I'm only wearing one coat, with two coats my nails will look perfect. The price is $1,99 for each.

CVS Haul

Today i"ve got a CVS haul for you, just a small one. I'm vacationing in the US right now, thats why i woun't be blogging on a regular basis. but i hope to publish a new article at least once a week.

On my first day i went to CVS(yay) and it happened they had a bogho on Maybelline and Sally Hansen products. So i took advantage of that. I bought some products i wanted for a long time and some just out of curiosity. Some of the products i haven't used yet but you will get a review( as soon as i used them).

I bought 2 colour tattoos in "Fierce and tangy" and one in "Edgy emerald". Both colours i've been wanting for some time now. In Holland i just couldn't get my hands on them. Both are beautiful colours, you can see the swatches below. Especially "Fierce and tangy" it is such a beautiful matte orange.

I also bought the "Instant age rewind dark circles eraser". I haven't tried it yet but i will soon. I heard very positive things about this concealer, so my hopes are up high for this. The packaging says that it instantly erases dark circles and fine lines. It also says its a treatment concealer with Goji berry and Haloxyl.

Then i bought the "Define a line" eye liner pencil in dark brown. I bought it by mistake, i wanted the "Define a brow". I will buy the "Define a brow", because i'm curious about that too. I already used the eyeliner pencil and i like it. The pen has a sharpener on the end and an eraser, too smudge out the line. I have to say that i like this eyeliner, it puts on a really dark line wich instantly gives definition to the eyes. The only downside is that the end becomes round after using it. Wich makes it hard to make a thin line. But other then that it is a great pencil that doesn't wear out.

Sally Hansen products were on bogho too. I bought two "Hard as nails" base coats. I used this nail hardner before and i was satisfied with the results. It hardens the nails. This hardener also prevents nails from chipping, splitting or cracking.

September favourites

Here are my september favourites. It's a bit of  mostly make up related products.

My first favourite is the All over shimmer from Essence. I used it a lot ever since i bought it. Mostly for my cheeks but this shimmerpowder can be used for face, body and eyes.



My second favourite is the One night in Vegas topcoat by Essence. I am so in love with this topcoat. It is  beautiful on top of many colours. Watch te pics so see it for yourself.

Number three is the Heróme nourishing nail oil. It makes my nails more flexible and prefends them breaking/chipping. I use it everyday on my cuticles.

Number four is the Models own sculpting brush. I use it for highlighting. This brush is firm yet flexible and perfect for shaping.

Last but certainly not least, is Date in the moonlight nailpolish by Essence. A beautiful colour, dark blue with some glitter, on the nails. I could wear this colour everyday.

Mijn lipsticks voor najaar/winter. My choice of fall/winter 2012 lipsticks and glosses

Hoi allemaal, vandaag een item over mijn keuze aan  lipsticks voor de herfst en winter.
Dit najaar zijn  paarse en wijnrode tinten "hot". Mooie kleuren voor dit jaargetijde daarom heb ik lipsticks uitgezocht die bij deze trend passen. Verder heb ik er willekeurig wat kleuren bij gedaan die ikzelf graag draag in het najaar (en de winter). Laat me maar weten wat jou favoriete lipsticks zijn voor dit jaargetijde.

F.O.T.D. (back to the eighties)

My F.O.T.D. is an eyemakeup with a dramatic look. I prefer the neutrals but sometimes it's good to step outside the box.

I wear pinks and purples for this look. I used colours from my Boozyshop eye palette. I love the colours of this palette, they are so pigmented. I started with a light pink on the eyelids. A bright pink in the crease and in the inner corners of my eyelids. In the outher corners i used a dark purple (same colour i wear under my eyes) and in the outher V a darkgrey.

This look reminds  a bit of the time (back in the eighties) when i just started at make up school. It was the eighties and bold colours were a must. Neutrals we're not done in those days :-).

 

On the lips i wear the Maybelline super stay in Forever Fuchsia. I used Mac's lipliner in Magenta as a base.

Foundation: Cinema Secrets Foundation palette Kit 6.

Loose powder: Black Opal deluxe finishing powder neutral light 06.

Blusher: a random bright pink.

Eyeliner: Rimmel London Glam eyes eyeliner in black. In the waterline eyeliner pencil in black from Vera Valenti

Brows: Maybelline master shape brow pencil in dark brown

Mascara: Maybelline Great Lash in black.
