September favourites

Here are my september favourites. It's a bit of  mostly make up related products.

My first favourite is the All over shimmer from Essence. I used it a lot ever since i bought it. Mostly for my cheeks but this shimmerpowder can be used for face, body and eyes.



My second favourite is the One night in Vegas topcoat by Essence. I am so in love with this topcoat. It is  beautiful on top of many colours. Watch te pics so see it for yourself.

Number three is the Heróme nourishing nail oil. It makes my nails more flexible and prefends them breaking/chipping. I use it everyday on my cuticles.

Number four is the Models own sculpting brush. I use it for highlighting. This brush is firm yet flexible and perfect for shaping.

Last but certainly not least, is Date in the moonlight nailpolish by Essence. A beautiful colour, dark blue with some glitter, on the nails. I could wear this colour everyday.

Mijn lipsticks voor najaar/winter. My choice of fall/winter 2012 lipsticks and glosses

Hoi allemaal, vandaag een item over mijn keuze aan  lipsticks voor de herfst en winter.
Dit najaar zijn  paarse en wijnrode tinten "hot". Mooie kleuren voor dit jaargetijde daarom heb ik lipsticks uitgezocht die bij deze trend passen. Verder heb ik er willekeurig wat kleuren bij gedaan die ikzelf graag draag in het najaar (en de winter). Laat me maar weten wat jou favoriete lipsticks zijn voor dit jaargetijde.

F.O.T.D. (back to the eighties)

My F.O.T.D. is an eyemakeup with a dramatic look. I prefer the neutrals but sometimes it's good to step outside the box.

I wear pinks and purples for this look. I used colours from my Boozyshop eye palette. I love the colours of this palette, they are so pigmented. I started with a light pink on the eyelids. A bright pink in the crease and in the inner corners of my eyelids. In the outher corners i used a dark purple (same colour i wear under my eyes) and in the outher V a darkgrey.

This look reminds  a bit of the time (back in the eighties) when i just started at make up school. It was the eighties and bold colours were a must. Neutrals we're not done in those days :-).

 

On the lips i wear the Maybelline super stay in Forever Fuchsia. I used Mac's lipliner in Magenta as a base.

Foundation: Cinema Secrets Foundation palette Kit 6.

Loose powder: Black Opal deluxe finishing powder neutral light 06.

Blusher: a random bright pink.

Eyeliner: Rimmel London Glam eyes eyeliner in black. In the waterline eyeliner pencil in black from Vera Valenti

Brows: Maybelline master shape brow pencil in dark brown

Mascara: Maybelline Great Lash in black.

Dit zijn mijn nieuwe aankopen van september. Ik heb vaak gebruik gemaakt van de acties van het Kruidvat. Als je een kruidvatpas hebt krijg je per email dagelijks nieuwe aanbiedingen toegezonden. Soms zitten daar hele leuke dingen bij, ook vaak aanbiedingen op make up produkten.

I want to show you my purchases of september. I took advantage of the reward card of my drugstore (Kruidvat), some items i bought with discount. It's always a good feeling to buy make up with discount.




Maybelline 10 h Super stay tint gloss in Forever Fuchsia 160

Deze Maybelline super stay 8 hour lipgloss in de kleur Forever Fuchsia kost € 11.99 ik heb er korting op gekregen met mijn kruidvat pas, helaas wordt de korting over alle artikelen berekend. Ik kan dus niet zeggen hoeveel korting het precies was maar ik denk ongeveer
€ 2,-. Het is zeker de moeite waard om een kruidvat pas aan te vragen. Deze lipgloss heb ik nog niet gebruikt daarom kan ik dus niet zeggen of het inderdaad super stay is. Maar de kleur is in ieder geval heel mooi en ik zal hem binnenkort zeker gaan gebruiken. Wat wel opvalt aan deze lipgloss is het kwastje, die is wat ovaal met een puntje. Zou dit het aanbrengen makkelijker maken?

I love the colour of this lipgloss (Forever Fuchsia). Fuchsia is one my favourite lip colours. I can't say if its a super stay gloss because i haven't used it yet. But i'm definitely gonna wear it and i'll let you know if it's longwearing. What strikes me is the applicator, the oval shape and the little tip above. I guess it makes applying easier. 


Maybelline 24 h gel eyeliner (Lasting Drama)

Ik heb al veel gehoord over deze eyeliner van Maybelline daarom wilde ik het graag hebben. Ik betaalde € 8,00 met mijn Kruidvat pas de eyeliner kost normaal € 11.99. Dus bijna € 5,- korting, dat is altijd welkom. Zoals je ziet zit de eyeliner nog in de verpakking. Ik zag wel dat er ook een eyeliner kwast bij zit, heel fijn. Ik hoop dat het een goeie kwast is. Wat ik van deze eyeliner heb gehoord is dat hij net zo goed is als die van Bobbi Brown. De eyeliner van Bobbi Brown ken ik wel, die  blijft echt héél lang zitten. Dus deze eyeliner gaat nog getest worden, ik laat het nog wel weten.

I heard a lot about this eyeliner (internet, youtube) and i was curious about it. My local drugstore was selling it with a € 5,- discount, so it was time for a purchase. I haven't used it yet, but i definitely will. I  heard this eyeliner is as good as the Bobbi Brown eyeliner. I have the Bobbi Brown eyeliner and it's a great eyeliner. It's stays on for a long time. The price for the maybelline eyeliner is € 11,99 and the Bobbi Brown costs about € 19,-. When the Maybelline has the same quality, i won't repurchase the Bobbi Brown eyeliner. I'll let you know. The Maybelline eyeliner comes with a brush.

 

Essence Sun club blotting paper

Leuk deze verpakking voor de blotting papers. Ik zag ze voor het eerst liggen en wilde ze ook meteen hebben. Ik heb rond de € 2,50 / € 3,00 hiervoor betaald. Ik heb ze een keer gebruikt en ik moet zeggen het matteert de glimmende plekken goed, zoals een blotting paper hoort te doen. Goed gekeurd en dat voor maar € 3,-. Lekker handig formaat om in je tas te doen.


 A blotting paper that does it's job, takes away the shine and gives a matt apearance. The price is about € 3,-. Perfect to carry in your purse and i like the colourful packaging.


Essence fix it nail glue

Ik heb vaak last van ingescheurde nagels daarom komt deze fix it! wel goed van pas. Ook dit produkt zit nog in de verpakking maar ik weet dat ik het snel genoeg zal kunnen testen. Je hoort hier nog meer over. De prijs lag rond de € 3,-.

Nail glue for my always breaking nails. So far i haven't got to use it (thats a good thing). The price is about € 3,-.


Rimmel 60 seconds nailpolish in Purple Reign 605

De nagellak van Rimmel (alleen de 60 seconds) is in prijs verlaagd en kost nu € 4,99. Voorheen kostte het € 5,99. Toen ik de lakjes kocht was er net een aanbieding 1+1 gratis. Helaas dekt deze kleur heel slecht, ik heb het 1 keer gebruikt. Ik had in totaal vier  laagjes nodig om een goede dekking te hebben. Dit wordt een lak die ik voor de tenen ga gebruiken.

Kruidvat my drugstore was having a buy one get one free. The Rimmel polish in the colour Purple Reign hasn't got a good coverage. I needed 4 coats to make it look good. I will be keeping this to polish my toe nails.


Captain Khaki 812

Deze kleur Captain Khaki heeft een veel betere dekking. Drie laagjes en een mooi eindresultaat.

The colour Captain Khaki  gives a much better coverage. I needed three coats but the result was beautiful.


Heróme nourishing nail oil.

Deze nagelolie van Heróme heb ik gekocht omdat mijn nagels erg droog zijn en snel afbreken/scheuren. Een kuur van vier weken met deze olie zou mijn probleem moeten verhelpen. Omdat ik bijna elke dag nagellak op heb zal het niet tot een kuur van vier weken komen. Ik smeer nu elke dag een beetje op de nagelriemen en onder de nagel, voor wat extra vocht. Tot zover heb ik nog geen gebroken of gescheurde nagel gehad. De Heróme nagelolie kost ongeveer € 8,-.

Heróme is a dutch brand specialised in nail and hand care. They are known for their quality products. The nourishing nail oil helps against breaking and chipping nails. It helps best if used everyday for four weeks, rub it on the nails and in the cuticles. Because i wear nailpolish almost everyday i only massage my cuticles with the oil. I regularly use a cuticle oil and i find the substance of the Heróme oil is different from the cuticle oil i use. It feels richer and more moisturizing than my cuticle oil. The price is about € 8,-.

N.(nailart).O.T.D.

Today's N.O.T.D. is my version of leopard nails. I drew a diagonal line (with my gold nailstriper) to part the nails. One part i filled in with a gold glitter polish and the other part i filled in with a gold coloured polish.

With a mauve polish i made the spots on my nails. After drying i outlined the spots with a black nailstriper. After that i put the gold glitter polish, over the whole nail. If i had used a brown polish for the dots, i think that would have looked more like a leopard print. I don't own a brown polish, to my surprise :-).
